Getting horrific flashbacks to those twice monthly blow outs we'd be on the receiving end of last season.

We’re so bad. You can see why Ufuk hangs on to a lead for dear life.

Good God this is just embarrassing.

Also can Uffie have just one game where he takes initiative and actually changes things up? Doing the same thing over and over with no plan B is daft.

Short of the best 20 minute's ever seen this had better be the wake up the team needs and not that start of the slide

Still this is a choice- play like this we’ll win some with a bucketful, but without a genius like Uli we’ll also cop nights like tonight. Play more for 1-0 we may win a few more, but with less entertainment.

Hindmarsh/Coopers is a fantastic football ground, covered in red. What a place compared to the plastic teams. We used to have a fortress in Welly. Get it covered in yellow and black and make it so again.

5:1 shocking.

Remembering that without the Sail and Kosta blunders this would be 3-2.

And we've hit the post and had more than a couple of other close ones.

So, yes, not great, but..

Rufer now has a better goals to minutes ratio this season than the four forwards who started this game
Surely not Kraev?

We’re still playing football. Zawada today and win this I reckon. But that’s not how it works…

I'd say when your defense ships 5 goals, it's not becaus of strikers missing in action

We’re competing for the same spot on the table and look at their attacking subs compared to ours.

It’s why we’re not a top team. We’re creating, but relying on one finisher and Rufer…

I hate to say this as I do love him as a player especially his work rate and his build up play is generally up there too but is Ball falling off as import standard player... 1 goal and 1 assist this season and has played most games and we've got him signed for another two seasons.

Both Ball & Wootton signed until 2025...

Having him signed as long as we have is daft, he's fading big time and lacks and shooting abilities to boot. His entire thing is his insane work rate and it's a bit hard to keep that up when the body is slowing down.

Yeah, he's not the import we need tbh. We should be aiming higher.

Not a performance to be ashamed of, unlucky and early Sail mistakes costs us.

Surely Sail gets benched next game? Have to give the new blood some time anyway.

Yeah with it being probably likely Uffie not staying I kinda wanna see us clear out the import slots for the new coach to utilize. Could backfire but I just don't think Ball, Sasse and Wootton are gonna be good enough for the next few seasons to build around.

There was a lot to like about that game.  Everything except the score.

Very frustrating

I agree, all could be filled by local players no problem.

At least Kraev and Zawada avoided suspension. Would like to see Paulsen and Boxall given an opportunity at some point.

The kicker tonight as well as the many, many, many  missed opportunities is how severely it ate into our GD. With such A tight table for those 4-6th place spots. Last thing we needed.

Harsh on Ball. He’s not at fault today imo.

Wtf was that game? We were so enterprising and created so much, but gave up 3 easy goals defending crosses into the box.

Story of our season, except without the early goals!

I really thought that was going to be a classic game, and it should have been if we’d been able to finish a pancake.

Saul will lose his spot to Cook in Perth if he continues this trajectory. Might not be so much fun on the bench at 2am NZ time. And no Payne there to drive the golf cart!

Still kind of enjoyed seeing us create goals and knock it around and through Adelaide with ease. We just need a couple of strikers…

Our entire forward line, starters and subs, just don't seem to be up to it with one exception. And we've used 4 import spots on them
Zawada - fantastic
Sasse - one classy moment a game doesn't make up for 20 soft giveaways and brain fades
Kraev - started fantastic but has dropped off a cliff since oska hit form
Ball - I love him, but he's not the player he was the last 3 seasons, time catches up with us all
Kosta - there are two Kosta Babarouses, the one who plays for Australian teams, and the one who plays for us. Unfortunately we have the one who plays for us
Old & Van Hattum - you always hope that academy kids kick on, a lot of them don't, I hope Old and OVH prove me wrong but I don't think they have the quality to play at this level

Of those how many would have a chance of starting at another top six club? Only Zawada, maybe Kraev could make the bench?

Oskas quality is papering over the cracks and tonight proved it.

P. S. I really miss the Waine train

Ball maybe a local player next year, if he qualifies for his PR.
