After riding that 10mins or so of emotion we’ve regressed back to playing poor passes and taking the wrong options. Bugger.

Optimistic thinking perhaps but If we can keep them out the next 5 mins or so. City might try shut up shop and hold on to the premiership plate in the final 10 mins which should give us pots of opportunity to pounce.

Nerves can do odd things to a team in this situation. We could definitely spoil the party.

Ref has got tickets to Leckie v Payne. No cards for either yet.

Did Jamieson give the commentator a handjob before the game? Just going by the biased arse kissing going on.

We’ve pissed Leckie off. Shakes off Sutts and Pennington like they’re puppies.

Hooper may not have had a great game but boy he's put in a shift tonight.

I know it's a easier said than done but need some killer instinct at the right time come this weekend. Old really shoudl have looked to make a cross into the box instead of tutu-ing about with three men on him. Failing that the shot was all Penningtons if he wanted it. But both aimlessly went backwards. Need to give yourself half a chance to make those miracle moments happen.

I kinda disagree. He has been patchy at best.

Old has really stood out the last few games. Hoping he can kick on next season too

Get Reno off FFS last thing we need is him to get another yellow

You can chart Old's improvement in the last few games by the number of times he's getting hacked down.

Ben Old has been really good last few games, could be pushing for that Reno spot next season

Of all the types of Fenton crosses, I like his deep ones the most.

Fenton should get a new contract if he wants it-there should just be 4 other FBs who are better than him in the squad…

Fenton has got himself into some good positions tonight, but his passing crossing has been poor.

The spectacle of us mostly relaxing and passing it at the back while the commentators were trying to talk it up.

And how was that control from Sail there at the end? Unleash the clones…

Edit: sorry LG had to edit that one, but FTJT.

The biggest take away from tonight...

With Lewis we have a much better chance. But the big question is, who does he start in the middle with, Sandoval or Pennington. I think him and Sandoval could be tasty!

Bugger.  I'm going into the finals 50/50.

I think we could smash a round or 2.

Good second-half effort from the boys! Lewis, Old, and Piscopo were really good at getting us forward.

I think that female commentator must be dating some of the City players too.

Jeeze. Bring back Sandoval, Ball, hopefully Sotirio. Lewis starting. What might these guys be able to do? That was a decent battle for City.

Who’s defending there? Lewis isn’t at 100% yet.

I wouldn't be opposed to a Sandoval and Lewis midfield, could do something like this.
Sail
Payne-Surman-Wootton-Sutton
Lewis-Sandoval
Old-Piscopo
Waine-Ball

Well done City, best team across the season for me.

You can never be happy with a loss but that was pretty much the ideal game for us ahead of a sudden death playoff. Confidence very much intact, players look highly motivated.
