Sydney have had a sniff this half, but we've largely blown them away since the restart. It'd be great to get another 1-2

Can't afford to try and sit on this lead. Sydney can rip you open like a tin of sardines if you give them all the ball.

We need another one, no way we should sit back with their attackers on now. Need some padding. Those two Kosta misses may prove vital.

Good to see Faghani cracking down on time-wasting rather than cynical fouling

Slightly stupid card for Sutton to get but he's had a very good game.

How good has Isaac Hughes been!
Not many minutes this season but my word he has been bloody brilliant every time he's had the opportunity. Very composed and intelligent player, so good to see the pipeline from reserves through to the first team is going bloody strong. 💪
Was it RR or someone else on here saying he's never tasted defeat after making an appearance?

That’s should be a yellow- deliberate pull down to stop the attack. Only second one compared to the 18 against City though…

If we're bringing on a sub, how can we get a yellow for 'timewasting' when our guy's still coming on?!

I have completely sold him down the river there. 😢
Hope the lad is alright. Another excellent game no less. 👏

Was that streaker in an Auckland kit?!
Not sure what he was wearing but it was a pathetic attempt at streaking.
Made it like 10 meters lol

Man, how lucky are we to have Salas there to replace Payne? Been excellent.

I actually want to propose to Mo Al-Taay, he’s been so good every chance he’s gotten

Did I see the ref just signal another 2 mins on top of the 7??
Wouldn't put it past him

Great to see the boys celebrating as a real team. Also great for Italiano to get the Sydney FC/Talay monkey off his back.

Another potential cherry on top - Victory go down to fourth if Macarthur can hold on vs Brisbane

Nice to see Uffie out there chatting and laughing with the Nix boys. Obviously a good rapport between them all.

Great result that. Missed the first 35-40 minutes through work, so will catch up on that when I get home, but that 2nd half was bloody impressive. Taking our chances and looking creative. It certainly was a change from the past few games where we've perhaps looked like we've run out of ideas a little bit.
Paulsen, Sutton, Hughes, Rufer, Salas and Barbarouses were all excellent. Sutton with his best game for the Nix in a long time, so a good confidence boost ahead of the run in to the end of the regular season.
Good to get the international break now too. Hopefully the injuries aren't too serious, but hamstrings are an absolute bitch to get right so will be interesting to see how they pull up in a few weeks when we come back. I'd say we're likely to see Payne drop out of international duty now. Unfortunate for him as that's a trip you want to be making. But that's football sometimes.
Graft and hard work get it done in the end.
Top of the league once more - It's getting more and more real now lads. It's getting real close. 🤲

I’ve got a triumphant screen grab of the one and only OiOi…will post it for a moment or two, then take it down! Onya you epic warrior! Enjoy the party!
[snipped]
I think I’m probably with McFlynn in having 30 extra kg, but OiOi could still get on the field if the Nix called!

Great resilience. Kosta involved in all goals, superstar player. Love the game, I was son the edge all game.

Listening to Chiefy talk to Piney about tactics is simply superb.
Intricate knowledge of the game, it would be fantastic to sit down and have one of those hypothetical dinners with him. He's calm and composed on the outside but you can just see his mind is always moving and always working on the next challenge, the next process.
Absolutely fascinating bloke. Top gaffer too!

Kosta loves fluffing one-on-ones then scoring an absolute banger.
Great to see the lads celebrating that one - big team performance and hopefully the morale boost we need to take it all the way
