I’ve really been enjoying the EPL games I don’t have anything so personal riding on! Some of these games I almost can’t watch or I’ll have to take a break and read the paper for a minute or two…
God I’m stressed. On one hand it’s New castle and they aren’t exactly the best the league has to offer. But in the other hand this would just be the perfect moment for the football gods to screw us
If Newcastle can gallantly lose to us this weekend without injuring any of our players, then use that as motivation to beat CCM in the last round to hand us the plate...

I'll buy the club myself!
Very sporting. I am not so noble. I would settle on us thrashing the Jets, who will then seethe with revenge-hunger and will vent it by smashing the sniggering Mariners the following week.

Only Conchie was on the bench last game and with Zawada returning presumes he takes his spot on the bench. So I guess they'd rather them play central league and be on call up if any last minute injuries happen than coming over to aus and not being in the squad?
No Conchie, but Supyk & GSR are there (if the 2 likely to be omitted).
Starting with 3 CBs with LK-H coming in?

A win tomorrow night is probably even more desirable for us now.
If we win, we are still on to possibly win the league next Saturday at home.
Draw or loss and then there is no way to know until after the Mariners play their last game (unless of course it is rescheduled during this coming week, but that seems unlikely)
Booooo, especially away. Hope the likes of Kraev, Pennington and Old realise from the last game. No point going to ground and expecting to hear the whistle. Gotta stay strong in the tackle. Get ready for a physical encounter.

I don’t rate Alex King, but, embarrassingly, we were the ones who took advantage of him against CC. We had several fouls where we brought their players down on a run towards the box, but didn’t receive a card the first two or three times.
As sad as it was to see us play like that - we are fools if the ref sets a standard or has a way that they will ref a game and we ignore it.
PLEASE, please win. I beg. Give us the chance to lift it next Saturday.
As much I want us to win title no matter the circumstance I'll be so pissed if CCM drop the game against Adelaide rather than the Jets robbing us of celebrating a title win at the stadium.

Wrong. If we draw vs the Jets & beat Macarthur AND Mariners lose vs the Jets next week, we would have an unassailable 4 point lead before the Mariners/Adelaide game.
Mariners need to play both their last 2 ALM games on short turnarounds, sandwiched between next Wednesday's 2nd leg AFC game against the Kyrgyz side, and likely an appearance in the AFC Cup Final in the Middle East on 5th May. 4 big games with travel in about 11 days.
They still have a very tough schedule, especially if they pick up a few injuries. But yeah for sure Nix win both their last 2 games, and the pressure is all on the Mariners.

Their delayed game will be played when they are fully rested.

I'm sure the trophy will be there waiting for them to pick up. Its theirs to lose now.
We gave it away when we lost to them and conceded that late goal against Brisbane.
it's simple, we do to the Jest tonight waht we did to Victory last week, we grind them down and take the points with a late goal. At this stage of the season it doesnt need to be flashy. Win tonight and we got to 52 points three ahead of CCM, they then need to win against Adelaide or Jets to get ahead again on wins. We then win at home against MacArthur and CCM must win their final game whenever that is to get ahead or the trophy is ours. I'm hoping we win tonight and CCM drop points so they can hand the trophy to us at home! Keep the faith lads, it's still ours to take.

they lost their first four games and then only two since then. All we can do is win both our games and hope they draw one of theirs.

I agree mathematically we can still win with drawing one of our games but I think realistically we have to win both to have a chance. We want Mariniers going into every game knowing they have to go out for the win so they push number forwards and maybe get punished for it or so they can't just take a lead and park the bus.
