Why has Pennington been out of favour?

Perhaps not trusted after Burgess got in his head? It’s one reason he left Italy- he had disciplinary issues which lead to red cards.

Big whoop; you want platoon formation, drop Ball back alongside Penny and Bk back along Sasse.

Is Pennington out of favor or is it just that Rufer came back and he's now the fourth choice?

Important to get a full team performance today. Build some much needed confidence across the squad against a side which is also struggling

We're going to need a confident side heading into Adelaide away next week, now that they are in a rut too.

It will be ugly but my guess is we will make it through - as Finals Cannon Fodder

It's a shame i'm not overly excited. I expect us to get a result tonight, but know we will get spanked next week.

Oh well, at least my beloved magpies give me something to cheer about!

Exactly my sentiments. Even about 4 weeks ago I realised I wasn't excited at all about whether or not would get a home playoff, home or away. The way the team has played this season there was just no belief that the Nix could make a run to the final. In seasons past I always thought we had at least a 30 percent chance of winning on the day against any team. This season I never felt confident we would beat anybody. It's such a shame that no nix fans believe we have a chance against Adelaide and I bet no Adelaide fans are at all anxious about it. A damning indictment on Ufuk as a coach, I don't know why any team should be keen to take him

Driving home from football the news reader quoted Ollie saying the team the team lacks confidence going into tonight. Did they read that correctly and how odd to publicly say that in my opinion!

Sometimes it's better to just say it how it is rather than cover it up. Let's face it, anyone can see from a mile away so may as well say it. Maybe acknowledging it publicly helps relieve the pressure and change mentality

if he said this, especially if he has said it again, it serves no purpose. the positive cliches that get reeled of are actually not cliches if you really beilieve them.

there are so many under performers in the squad right now, i'm not sure whether any selection would make much of a difference. the real difference maker could possibly be this weeks team 'reset' meeting. hopefully this will lift performance levels

No Kraev in lineup baffles me.

I’d start bk over all others in his position. Maybe he’s lacking in training. Or Talay is rolling the dice to get some luck.
Either way, fire up!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥

Alright, have finished my 12 hours at work for today, so hopefully I've left all my sharkty problems at the plant and can now enjoy a Nix master class.

Serious angst ahead if we bumble and bungle our way through the coming 90 and end up out of the 6.

tonight I need to see a couple of things......
playing to win would be a starter......
I need to see more from Kosta, more effort more pace, more accuracy
I want the positive Sail vibes, no more of this - we were shark and we are losers.
And finally, not losing a game from a winning position.

Zawada!
Sasse with the lovely run, lovely pass to Ball who should have scored and Zwada slots home Kurto's parry.

I hope all the 'what has Ball done for us this seaon" FB posters saw that adn then maybe remember all the times hes the man who touches the ball before the assist to a goal.

Its worryingly clear at this point that Ball couldn't score in a brothel.

Immediately dropped off the pressure. No press until well in our half. This could be hard to keep watching

That was lovely by Callan. Just needed some strikers polish, or just someone Polish on the end of that one.
