If the matches had gone to schedule, I'd agree with you. I doubt the APL are organised enough to have duplicate trophies ready. BUT the Mariners' travel issues have changed things.

CCM are away to Newcastle this week, and will have a home game against Adelaide afterwards for their presentation.
Therefore, it makes sense for the trophy to be in Wellington this week, and if needed, in Gosford for CCM's final game, for presentations in front of home fans.

Will the APL be sending the Premiers Plate to Wellington this weekend, in case we win and Mariners lose the F3 derby? It could be presented post-match with the right results

A Mariners fan would be saying the same thing. Nix lose to MAC, and CCM beat or even draw with the Jets - CCM are Premier Plate winners. Nix lose, CCM draw, so both teams 49 pts, Mariners are Plate champs on the wins tiebreaker

So I imagine the trophy will have to stay at APL headquarters this Saturday.

Good point half Wolf half Man. Hopefully the APL think the same.

If the unlikely happens and the Nix were Premier Plate winners this Saturday (Nix win combined with a CCM loss), it would be a bit flatter at the ROF without a trophy.

Yeah good call, I didn't realise CCM were away. Trophy presentations are always at the winners home anyway right, so for sure they would have it ready in Wellington - Maybe I'm giving APL too much credit there I dunno

The way things are going for the APL, the Premiers Plate would be packed in someones bag & lost by Qantas, if they bought it over here.

Getting a few tickets this week. Looking forward to it, regardless of how it pans out, it's been a great season and we've still the semi's to look forward to. I've had enough disappointment from the Dons this weekend.

So we'll either finish the season with best possible outcome of 15 wins 8 draws 4 losses 53 points.  Or 14 wins 9 draws 4 losses 51 points.  Or worst case scenario of 14 wins 8 draws 5 losses 50 points.

If someone had offered either of those options at the start of the season, I would have gladly taken any of them.

My heart says the plate is gone, but I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong.  COYN!

If we win this game and still come 2nd we'll have the most points for a team finishing second in the last 10 years

Early exit for Olyoos at their AFC U23 qualifying tourney, drawing 0-0 with Qatar, in their final pool game. 2 draws & a loss not good enough to progrees out of their pool

But Jake Hollman unlikely to be available for the Bulls against the Nix. He got injured early on in 21st min against Qatar. Replaced by Keegan Jelacic.

Some bad news, buses are replacing trains on all lines in and out of Wellington on the 27th and 28th of April.  Kiwirail must hate us.

Be nice to have some sort of statement on this from APL. Imagine they announced its on its way to Wellington for Saturdays game just in case. It'd add extra excitement and aid ticket sales knowing there's a chance a trophy may be lifted

With Kids now being free, they are refunding anyone that paid for Kids tickets, either as Individual Tickets or part of Family Passes.

So if your tickets are Adult ticket ones, you are unaffected.

Yeah I definitely have 2 adult tickets, so I don't need to do anything? and my tickets on game day (being the print out ones) should work fine with no issue?

In my best effort to anti-jinx us to the league title, the 'Rufer or Zawada' penalty debate is giving me flashbacks to the Davila/Hemed debate from a few seasons ago. Davila missed a pen that would have kept the Nix in control of their destiny to make the playoffs. It was argued that Tomer Hemed, as our top scorer should have taken it. Hemed, of course, went on to miss a pen in the next match
There are some worrying parallels:
- Davila's miss in our penultimate match meant we drew 2-2, instead of winning; Rufer's miss left us with 1-1, instead of a win.
- The Perth draw left us 1 point behind Macarthur in the race for 6th, but the Bulls had a game in hand; the Newcastle result puts us 1pt in front of CCM, but the Mariners have a game in hand.
- We finished the season on a (then) club-record 11-game unbeaten streak; we will finish this season on a club record points total.

We went on to beat Macarthur 3-0, but they'd already won their extra game to knock us out of the top 6.
While Hemed's miss didn't affect the result, I have visions of the Nix being awarded a pen this weekend, Zawada steps up, and Cahill-like, sends it into rosette (a crerbral in-joke for the old-timers).
Of course, Zawada's pen will be to win the game in the dying minutes and Newcastle will be beating CCM at the same time.
CCM will complete the agony by demolishing Adelaide in their final game.

There's nothing on Metlink's site. Has this been changed?
The only things I can see are buses all day Anzac Day, and for the Wairarapa in the weekend.

EDIT - Found it. While the info is not in their notifications for next 7 days (yet), it's on their calendar of upcoming bus replacements https://www.metlink.org.nz/news-and-updates/buses-replacing-trains/kapiti-line/

This is truly set up to possibly be one of the all time Phoenix games… so much drama possible. It could also be one of the most painful nights supporting the Nix

The thought of lifting the plate and going on the field and the party that would ensue is great, but now that’s all possible, I’m incredibly nervous. It’s the hope that kills you… it’s killing me 😬

But I just know CCM are going to absolutely DICK the Jets…

The Mariners play tomorrow night, with $USD750K ($AUD1.16M) at stake. Then the Jets only 3 days later. That plus today's shock news about Torres. Newcastle motivated to send off club stalwart Jason Hoffman in fitting style. Anything is possible for Saturday. Will be a bit of turmoil inside Gosford right now.
