Any (albeit early) PAX indication yet? Should be a good crowd especially if we're still in the hunt after this week, I'd expect at minimum 10k but hopefully a lot more

PAX up to 2119/2120, thought it would be higher to be honest. Good start though:

Everyone is waiting to get past this game - me included.

We win, I travel down with a large group of others from the Tron. We lose, I go away for ANZAC with the family.

I imagine many fans are in a similar position.

What if the Nix lose, but CCM lose or draw against Adelaide?
That would mean Nix go into the final MAC game, still as potential Premier Plate winners.

Only if the Nix (stay on 49 pts & 14 wins) lose to Newcastle and Mariners beat Adelaide (so CCM going to 52 pts & 16 wins), will the final round basically be a damp squid null & void.

Better than even odds, that something will still be riding on the MAC game. Nix only need to draw at Newcastle to ensure that is the case. That takes them to 50 pts, and even if CCM beat Adelaide (go to 52 pts) - the Plate is still on the line in the final round. Could the Jets beat the Mariners at Newcastle in the last game? For sure, especially with CCM having such a heavy schedule these last few weeks

Edit - can see Chief setting up with his usual back 3/5 on the road in the Castle. Looking firstly to avoid a loss, but for sure wanting the win. Zawada off the bench late, maybe a little trump card.

Some bad news, buses are replacing trains on all lines in and out of Wellington on the 27th and 28th of April.  Kiwirail must hate us.

Hang on, I'll act surprised....."Really??" Normal Rail Network fudge up. If it was an All Black test, they'd delay it.

Guess they promised us that they’d have it sorted for the semi. Still, sharke and makes it hard for the club to pull a massive crowd because of it.

Especially with a late finish. If it was a earlier game people might head into the city for a bite to eat, but 9 o'clock, people want to head home.

Can they make it a 3pm Kick Off instead?? Think of the Children. At 2pm at the stadium front gates, a Little Boy waits. (Just like the old Red Cross commercials.)

The club purposefully made the game kick off later to avoid clashes with all the local football games.

Well there will be extra buses but we won't get a big crowd.  Ridiculous that there is no wriggle room at all.

Kia ora, though we understand your frustration and disappointment regarding the buses replacing trains on the 27th, Kiwirail have had this rail maintenance scheduled and pre-planned prior to the phoenix announcements for this years upcoming games. We can confirm there will be additional services before and after the game to accommodate the larger crowds. Ngā mihi ^KS

Will the APL be sending the Premiers Plate to Wellington this weekend, in case we win and Mariners lose the F3 derby? It could be presented post-match with the right results

I have now recovered, (just) from Friday. My hours of lieing flat on my kitchen tiles seemed to do me some good.

The hope is what kills you.
The mariners could lose on Saturday and we could lift the damn thing. What a season it’s been, and the way it’s gone this year it very well could happen.

Onwards we go. Let’s crush MacArthur 5-0 on Saturday in front of 20,861 fans breaking the clubs all time season attendance record.

A Mariners fan would be saying the same thing. Nix lose to MAC, and CCM beat or even draw with the Jets - CCM are Premier Plate winners. Nix lose, CCM draw, so both teams 49 pts, Mariners are Plate champs on the wins tiebreaker

So I imagine the trophy will have to stay at APL headquarters this Saturday.

Do they not have more than one like the Premier League, FA Cup etc?

Smith and Vujica suspended, Jake Hollman away with the Olyroos, the Nix fired up for a big performance, I reckon it's a Phoenix win.

Not hopeful on a big crowd though. Long range weather forecast not flash, APL postponing the CCM v Reds game reduces the potential drama, it's ANZAC weekend so a few out of town, and sounds like the train services are out of action.
