Plot Twist: Steele is doing a Davila/Lewis and spot-fixing. He’s trying to get Red Carded for a fat bag of cash under the table.
Referee Danaskos knows about this, and refuses to send Steele off… Also because if he sends Steele off, then Danaskos loses HIS spot-fixing bet for 0 red cards this game.

2 points dropped here and vs glory, who are probably the two worst teams in the league this season, second half was very disappointing, let them back into the game quite easily and early
Arms all over piper then a shoulder charge to avoid the quick through while the balls out of play and nothing. Danaskos has had a sharkter today
For years the product on the pitch has been decent. The referee standard holds us back.
Referee remuneration needs to be so much better. Make it an attractive career to pursue and you'll get more quality referees, and more referees full stop which the grassroots game needs.
It's a joke that not every A-League ref is professional.
As a ref myself its so hard to watch them bottle easy card after easy card every week - not just for us, the leniency is across the league this year.
Hughes and Kelly-Heald played well I thought. Conchie must have been doing something because we were worst just after he went off.
Should have put the game away. Eze looked industrious, perhaps didn’t have his best game and still scored and got in place to score.
Still a point with players injured and out.
Only thing I thought is that we wasted Piper. Maybe I’m going to have to join the start Piper crew, because he was ready to make a difference but didn’t get the ball.
Our dead ball was a bit average, but also their two big blokes at the back were fairly decent.

Armiento post match said the injuries disrupted their play especially in the second half. Proud of the team....they have a strong team spirit Rednayne got man of the match. Five saves. Sometimes that happens in a march where the keeper plays a blinder. Looks like we will be fielding the academy against AFC. Josh played his best game so far. Eze has a huge engine ..still running after 90mins. Another day he would have had a hat trick. I really like this team. Hats off to Chiefy
We did the inverse of our first two games. This time came out of the blocks firing but let it slip after the half hour mark.
A point away from home is a point away from home. And I'm sure we'd all take being undefeated heading into the derby if offered in pre-season.
Lots to work on though. Its early days so im sure we will settle in to the season but theres a real messy/flustered quality to our approach whether its the high line or the passing or the decision making it all just appears a bit untidy.
Hoping most of the injuries are all minor, we need everybody back so we can start playing to our full potential, because there definitely is something there with the style we are trying to play. Just the quicker everyone's back on the deck the quicker it can bed in.
Ishige and Payne are two of our senior creative players. After hitting the post I had a feeling he had a winner in him today.
Thought Cassidy was good too.
But we missed some creative drive at the end of the game. Brooke-Smith and Eze were close. Loved their combinations. Wonder where we are replacing Payne, Conchie and Ishige and if we’ll get any apologies from the referees. Still have been impressed that Chief doesn’t do an Uffie and growl from sideline. And that we didn’t retaliate.
Though I’m mixed on that. It didn’t entirely work today, ignoring the fouls. I tended to focus on duels a bit…

I think referees have learned (whether conscious or subconsciously), that there's no real benefit to them to give out yellow and red cards.
It can create controversy for their careers if it's a bad call, so they have all become so lenient that nothing ever happens and players can get away with anything these days.

Nah, they're actively getting instructions from on high to "let the game flow".
And also Central Coast and their coach can go get fckt. For a while they were classy, now they’re some decent players and some dinosaurs.
We came here last season and they played this late tackles, taking out our playmaker BS mixed in with a lot of swearing at the ref and visibly dissenting with arms wide, playing to their fans.
Same again today and they’ve injured two of our players.
Steele sounded like he is as thick as a plank. Should have had at least two yellows. Im all for letting play flow but if players get seriously injured because of foul play then the refs have to act. These injuries may well cost us the season. We cant expect youngsters on debut to win games for us.
