I really expected Sutton to stand out as the best young LB in the comp. He's not had a great start (the injury would not have helped).
Would much prefer he is given a start before a Jets loan player. Bit rough if he is the scapegoat for that debacle before the break. Disappointed in Talay.

Hope this ref is keeping track of the pro fouls. There’s 1 on Ugarkovic.

Sasse is looking pretty energetic and keen to get on the ball, better signs from him already.

So we take a home game go the gong to ‘thank’ them, and no one turns up - not even the groundsman. What was the point.

Third time the ref has put his arm around a WSW player…
Not much to adjudicate on so far though.

been a fairly benign half to be fair, WSW have had a lot of the ball but have done very little with it, we've had less ball but more attacks and shots.

Which is exactly the kinda game that makes me nervous we could lose to a screamer outside the box.

WSW havent scored a lot of goals this season, they win by small margins but concede nothing.
Our attacks have been better, but with this amount of posession anything coud happen.

Exactly, would have been better in Napier or New Plymouth. Ring of Dirt matches this pitch.

minus the ring of drt which means you're sitting 50m away from the pitch.

50m or further, not much to see this half. Could be the pitch. Could be the break. Or the changes again to team selection. Who knows.

It's nice seeing a lot of passes connecting after the last weeks.

Unfortunately we need the final bit to win games.

cmmentators made the comment in the first half that we have the highest passing percentage in the league (88% accuracy), which just proves you can pass the ball at the back all you like, it wont win you games.

We've been better today, which is good.

Sasse off for Kosta.

I wonder if sasse is on a generous contract and they are trying to hope he comes right.

What's the grateful crowd size? the stand behind the camera looked empty when they focussed back on Ufuk.

Kraev for the goal!

and who is the first player to congratulate him? Sasse!
Maybe Sasse gets the start because he is the consumate team man, does what he is asked to do and the players love him?

Think Kraev went to Sasse? Did it in another game too.

semantics, there's clearly a reason why Sasse is the go to man for celebrations.

Kraev has done it twice at sky stadium, in one of the games he ran to celebrate with the Yellowfever then turned and ran all the way to the otherside of the pitch to celebrate with Sasse.

they also said we'd scored the second most goals in the competition so it's not like we've done nothing with the passes.

Passing the ball at the back is disengenuous, it's not like we're dominating possession so we're using the passes.

Got nothing to do with passing accuracy though, I think it's a false equivalency.

you guys have watched the nix for as long as I have, so you know how long we soend passing the ball between our CB's and back to the keeper, its frustrating and has resulted in mistakes and errors like the womens team have been experiencing, Hence conceding 12 goals. An average of 2 a game, same as last season which was the worst goals per game in the league.

I actually think the opposite, if we held posession more (i.e. pass the ball around the back as well as take it forward) we wouldn't have conceeded as much.

Our best games this season have been the games where we've had more of the possession.
