Sasse looked proper sharp today. Hope to see more of it
That step over dummy was a thing of beauty.

Could only watch bits and pieces. Anyone able to do a Sasse watch video of the game?

Re Waine,

Because he likely wouldn’t even get on the bench for those teams. As was the case with Lewis.

Better to stick around here and wait for his chance, which will surely come.

He's getting 10 minutes a week here and getting splinters - I'm sure 99% of players would prefer that in England Championship. And developing his game for the Reserves midweek. He needs to sack his agent for not forcing this move. Club has also sold him down the river too.

4,535 that's pathetic. Well done to the people showing up. Can the club survive with such low turnouts?

Not with that turnout, but now they got plenty of money from other sources who know best how to bring fans back to game after sorting out the bullshark from last night fall out.

Tbf bad weather, saturday afternoon a week before Christmas, team not in the best form and the whole APL shark not really surprised it was that low.

Also we're in our biggest covid wave, I know so many people with covid at the moment and that's going to be keeping people away.

I know for me my parents came down for a Christmas dinner.

Dad and I managed to swing down for the men's game but couldn't swing staying for the women which sucks as I ventured down for their other 2 games.

It's in the messy window where some peps have left early for Xmas holiday somewhere, some peps have events around town, etc.

That was my first ever 'home' phoenix game - I usually go to all the Auckland games etc (I swore I'd go to a game in Welly post covid). I thought the weather was pleasant, nice and cool, and no sun shining in my eyes like all the games at Eden Park.  The roof also stopped us from getting wet. Maybe its sunny and dry all the time in Welly and so grey skies and a light shower put people off? But I'd watch a live game in that weather every day of the week.

I came down from Palmy as I always do and only planned on watching the first half of the womens game after the mens so we wouldn't get home too late but ended up staying for the whole game. I'm glad I did too.
Got home at 10pm.

I know the are various reason the crowd might not be as good as we'd like but the reality is I don't think this has much to do with the Nix as the A-League in general. Crowds are down all over the show, we're not the exception.

Either way, I'll keep supporting the team. We're gonna win the league.

Not impressed by Sail at all this season.

agreed, I think he has gotten worse since taking the captains arm band.

I have said it before, and I will say it again.  With due respect to Jonathon Gould and the new bloke, Paul Gothard not being around is the factor.  He was the one that consistently got the best out of all our keepers.

I miss that angry Popeye looking mf’er so much 😭😭. We’re still playing well but the quality of goalkeeping has dropped and no one has that dawg in them like Gothy.

So Sasse was sent off and Halloran scored in the first fixture vs Adelaide, and Sasse scored and Halloran was sent off in the second fixture - has that ever happened before in a season for us? I can only imagine the fireworks in Round 21!
