Sandoval needs piscopo. We are horrid tonight. We are a goal up, there is no reason why we keep giving newcastle back possession. Hold the fudgeing ball.

Really well done by Sandoval, finally one of his runs and passes pulled off

Not sure we deserve to be in front but I'll take it. Missing the flair of Piscopo for sure.

Great finish! 🚂🚂

Was looking across when that pass was made and thought he might of just strayed off. Done just enough.

Crucial just on H/T

Sotirio is a greatly improved player, a lot of the little mistakes he used to make have dropped out of his game. Shows you the value of uffies coaching.

The being offside and near the goalie that sometimes rules out s goal and sometimes doesnt us fudgeing confusing.

Ollie was definitely hanging near him in case he was put onside which freed up the space for the goal

Bloody perfect response from the Waine train though.

was totally offside - clearly involved in the play, assistant calls it off an ref overrules, no VAR involvement - utterly ridiculous.

I dunno, can understand why our guys got shirty about it but for me a nicely worked goal like that should never be ruled out. No keeper in the world would've stopped a bullet like that.

Bit of an optical illusion- defender stepping up and Waine motoring closed the space, but it was very well timed.

Also don’t think he obstructed view or interfered with play.

I somehow think Sandoval was instructed to play quick killer pass to our strikers, he's successfully made 2 out of many attempts, which led to 2 goals but at the same time made the errors look aweful.

Jets are a weird side. 2nd half they could easily win this 4-2 or lose it 4-1. They will definitely have a lot more chances than us, so it's important we take ours when they come.

I don't think we played our best that half, which isn't surprising after having a break for so long. Newcastle's defending was pretty brainless against the speed/counter attacking of Sotirio and Waine.

Feel like we will need at least one more goal to win this!

I reckon he did, but you're not wrong Outpost you're right that its a banger of a goal though.

Just a messy rule because it looked to me like Oli changed where he was because if the offside player.

The commentators going on about the team waiting sharkted me a bit.  Didn't we get shafted with a call a year or 2 ago because we resumed play because the reg said to and the VAR was gonna overule a decision but because gameplay had restarted they couldn't Rule on it?

Has Sutton been on all match? I honestly didn't notice him until now (although did miss a bit of the first half)...

Totally agree. The last few minutes of the Perth playoff in Auckland we should've had a penalty but didn't because we put the ball back in play too quickly to allow VAR to look at it. Or some technical version of that anyway.

Horribly complacent here. Should have done better with our counter chances. I’d love us to get the ball back for a bit.

Although the counter to that is he's the most likely to set up another one, and I can't see us winning unless we score again.

Gael’s been atrocious. Said this on Twitter, but he’s previously shown some holes in his game that I hoped his natural talent could paper over (passing, composure, vision, hustle, defensive positioning). They’re on stark display tonight
