I'd probably make the trip down to my old stomping ground of QT for this match if I wasn't winging my way between Orlando, Florida and Phoenix, Arizona for two weeks....

Should be some good photo opportunities in Arizona though wouldn't you think....

By the time you get to Phoenix, she'll be rising?
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Ticketing information is out, I've thrown it in the Dangerous Liasons thread to keep on-topic

Incidentally, I reckon there is a fair chance it will be warmer than the season 1 pre-season match at the Hutt Rec.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Piney, will you be travelling down to commentate?

Or not worth it for a pre-season match.

here we go again - a few whingers out there. Most professional teams do their preseasons MANY miles away from home. Most english clubs do theirs that way (premier teams can do Asia, America or South Africa, and lower league teams usually do scandinavia or ireland). So no, wellingtonians are not being shafted. Some people need to stop getting precious and enjoy the fact that the club is drumming up even more support

This may be the case but in Scotland (not sure about England but assume the same) we also have 1 or 2 pre season games at home and often this game is free or discounted for season ticket holders...ie a 'bonus' game. It would not have hurt for the Phoenix to organise something like this to make some sort of amends for 2 home matches not actually being at home during the season.

Meh, way I see it is this thread is for people discussing the matches existence, merits and deficits, whereas the DL thread is for those making plans to attend. Anybody who wants to discuss the pros/cons of the match being held down south, while not attending the match themselves, probably doesn't care about ticket prices I only mentioned it in here so that anyone who is both discussing it and hoping to go will look to that thread so we can organise "Yellow Freezer" a bit better (using the term "organise" loosely of course...)

Also there's probably a YF law against giving mod powers to Australians, so I'm most likely ineligible anyway

Rob, I'm sure we're above that....

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

How tolerant do you think yellowfever are dariyflat?  I'd be absolutely incensed if they gave an Aussie mod powers
