Half time is probably the best time for giant flags to be on the go, and more entertaining than people running about in zorbs for about 30 seconds...

If the point is to make it on TV then half time wouldn't work.

I meant do both.

For one of those giant flags that you pass over your head I meant half time...more for people in the stadium to see too, doesn't have to be seen on TV. I have seen this plenty of times at matches that have not even been televised.

I want tv coverage. Im not going to go to a lot of trouble for just the stadium to see it.

Plus the fever zone empties a bit at half time.Stefan2010-02-27 11:56:01

Woohoo just had an inspiration about what to wear to the game. Will arrange for our group of 10 be all dressed up in the same fashion, if they agree. If they don't I might withhold their ticket.

Could be a Thursday (Depending on the Weather) at Newtown Park. The Pitch will be free and everyone knows where it is.

Nothing is set in stone as of yet though. Trying to figure out some of the logistics. Things such as sheets and Paint.

If anyone knows of anywhere better, tell me. We just need a decent space to do it in.Stefan2010-03-01 15:49:00

Shed 6 is currently a very swish nightclub - been redecorated with a mezzanine floor and theatre setup for the Arts Festival

Oh wise Horus, I am actually a tetotaller but will be with a group of friends probably in the Courtenay Place area having lunch before walking up to plaster the Ring of Fire with banners.

You will be able to identify us as the group of people wearing:

I will be in Wellington until Thursday and will happily meet for coffee or lunch in the downtowns

Ive figured (If we used them) it will take 10 white sheets and a lot of measurements.

An average single sheet is 180 x 265cm

EST. 2007 Banner will be 5.4 M long.
3 YEARS IN THE MAKING - 7.2M
A-LEAGUE FINALS 2010 - 7.2M

Someone else figure out how big each letter can be with a space in the middle of them. Probably 15-20cm apart

This can also be done on a Saturday if anyone wants to help.Stefan2010-03-01 16:36:08

Just need help painting really. and to sort out materials.

Now considering that a single sheet is $20-$30 from Briscoes sheets aren't looking very likely.

Will see about material.Stefan2010-03-01 16:36:46

Why would you decide to do this, then go to BRISCOES to buy sheets. Go to Warehouse, half the price

$8.99 at the warehouse.
Take that Briscoes.

Spotlight has plain white material for $4.99/m.

Briscoes had 50% off in the weekend. If you talk to a manager they may be sympathetic to the cause. Warehouse is cheaper "every day" yes but on promotion you might actually get it cheaper at Briscoes.

Edit: LOL that's what happens when you get distracted for half an hour between starting and finishing a post...ahmad2010-03-01 17:20:45
