interesting, dodd and lochy were doing well early on, but i guess it's a good sign that our better defenders aren't standing out like sore thumbs during the game - as they perhaps used to

though mossy's (justifiable) presence suggests that he's maybe taken their place as our defensive saviour

let's hope we don't notice our defence at all for the rest of the season

I also expected Dodd to be there or thereabouts.

i think that is probably pretty fair, reflects our season so far. i think if lochy had carried on his early season form he would have been there but i dont think our formation suits him. love to see smeltzy get on a bit of a run again, been a while since he scored an a-league goal isnt it?

I've liked the look of Lia , and also Ferrante of late, maybe they just needed some faith in them?? Elrich has dropped off, but players do have drops in form so maybe we're still to be treated to some magic from him in upcoming games (starting tomorrow night !) ... overall the player who I have been impressed with (and no surprise) is Smeltz (himself an ex-Napier City Rovers player) , its nice to see him doing well with the club.

On something of a tangent. How come Russell Gray never gets a chance to be voted for in MOM polls?  dairyflat2007-12-06 12:31:02
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

If you can tell us who he is, maybe he'll have a chance?

Lochhead would be my pick if we were just voting on the first few games...

He's terrible in a 3-5-2 imo. Not really his fault though.

Russell Gray was at one time Sports Editor of the Dominion. Wrote some sports biographies as well. Was retired and "out of nowhere" Ricki rang him up and offered him the kitman job. Accepted instantly.

Dodd
Lochhead

Quite a few I know, but I think they've all been standouts.

It has to be Moss for me. He's been the most consistent for me over the whole season and I think thats the most important thing to consider. Nobody else has turned in such good performances week in week out.

Being a keeper myself, I find it difficult to vote for anyone but Moss - there have been some class saves.

Daniel has been great though. Not just his performances, but right from the first pre-season game he has regularly gestured to the zone for noise. I like that. It feels like he genuinely loves the club.

Moss is my fave as well, but you have to love the Daniel wave to the crowd as he takes a corner or he wants us to start making noise again. Great to see an import be passionante about the game and the city he's playing for!

Daniel. For his performances on the field and his character off it. He is always willing to stop and chat to his fans and always does so with a smile on his face. A true ambassador for the club.

Yep, i've seen videos of him at schools etc.

Cleberson seemed like a bit of a character too - wish that it went better for him.

I think most of the players and Daniel especially just fell in love with the place as soon as they got here and how couldn't you?

after tonight I would still go with Lockhead (Left back union member fully paid up, me). The glaring miss was his chance to get players player but he choked!!

Most improved, Moss by a county mile.
