If you could sign any current a-league player regardless of cost or when their contract expires, who would it be?

Tony, It's just been announced that WRFU season tickets for this season are down a massive 30%, Any idea on next seasons Season Ticket prices bearing in mind the WRFU announcement.

What;s the situation with Dodd, Christie? I hope both have been retained. Dodd had his best season yet cutting down a lot of silly errors and Christie started to do well in his midfeild roll.

Are you going to attend the YF Awards evening  on the 28th?

What changes would be needed to make the Nix elligible for Asian competitions?
Would achieving that secure the future of the club in the A-League?
Could it happen if NZF wanted to/had to stay in Oceania?

would you support a race with Hard News at half time vs. slowest opposition fan a la Mark Richardson and the Black Caps from a few years ago?

Tony P, I have two questions.

First, what does the Wellington Phoenix consider is the major priority for addressing the significant decline in the average home attendance from the opening season and attracting the fans back at least to a level where the club is breaking even, and how does the club envisage implementing this priority area?

Second, how does the Wellington Phoenix keep informed about potential foreign-based players,  what is the geographical reach of any network of agents / scouts that the club utilises, and does the club have any country preferences for the potential recruitment of players?

1.) Is there pressure from other A-League franchises, particularly Melbourne, to have the salary cap lifted?
2.) Given Melbourn's revenues via gate, sponsorship, merchandise etc must be a heck of a lot more than ours (or for that matter Newcastle's or Perth's or any other franchise) yet their player costs (which are presumably the major cost for all clubs) are the same as ours thanks to salary cap (marquee aside) - what do they spend/do with their excess revenue? Do they have gold-plated training facilities, a massive entourage of physios and sport psychologists, do they ferry everyone traiining in limos or do the shareholders extract big dividends?

Yeah mon, unfortunately I was stoned off my nuts listening to hardcore ragga being streamed lived from a basement in Kingston, Jamaica between 1-2 this afternoon so I didn't hear the interview with the righteous Mr Tony P.

So wha'ppen? Did the man answer any questions? Is he a member of Slipknot or not?

Sounds from the I/V with Tony P that we're NOT going to get any youth team into the A-League youth league next season.

He described a concept where our youth team - with some senior Nix players - would play teams from the NZFC. As possible curtain raisers for ROF games!?

How exciting would that be? They'd have to be considered 'training' games. They couldn't be 'official' as our players are registered in Australia. Anyone throw more light on this?

I think we're being screwed by FFA. Anyone throw more light on this?

Excellent interview, pity it couldn't be for twice as long. Piney perhaps you could do a special (longer) podcast with Tony P, and fire all the Yellow Fever questions at him.

Interesting to hear his thoughts (and obvious feelings) re Gold Coast, he mentioned the Rnd 2 game next year a number of times...
