Macey Fraser appears to have signed a loan deal with Better Football Sunday League Div 2 side Cobham Drive in their 8-1 loss in the cup to Valley United (running away with Div 1).

Just reffed the game, not what I was expecting to show up to!

IMHO, it's also pretty reckless for a recently injured female pro to mix it up with men in a Sunday league comp. Oh well, it's her career

Has she been injured? I'm uncertain she'll be heading back to the US, if the rumors I heard have any credibility, which I don't know if they do given they've come from a public crawl.

'Recently-ish' – she picked up a calf injury vs Canada at the Olympics. She's obviously recovered now, but why tempt fate against some amateur blokes.

Rumours. It all seems very strange, for sure

Niche Cache last week.

And Macey Fraser may have gone missing for the back-half of last season but her contract runs through until 2026 with Utah Royals and she’s on their retained list, no shenanigans afoot there.

Speck-tacular
21 Dec 08:48
IMHO, I thought Speckmaier was dreadful after her early goal.

As was Kelli Brown, and even her late penalty was fortunate not to be saved.
21 Dec 22:53
I thought Brown was pretty good for Perth. Getting on the ball. Linking up. Good positive runs. Numerous shots on target denied only my excellent goal keeping. Looking much more likely to score than Ferguson for us. Brown now with 3 goals and 1 assist leading all kiwis in goal contributions ALW.

Kelli Brown is out injured for awhile.

The new Canadian league
Good move as seems she ain’t yet ready for the NWSL

Moore also to play in this new pro league in Canada

So pleased for Kelli.
Temple wouldn’t give her a chance and she’s blossomed since leaving the Nix!

Sooo far off side

But good on her.
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, I feel bad for Melbourne City. Go the entire season undefeated, only to lose this way.  Football is cruel.

The AR might have got something in her eye at the crucial moment

Claudia Bunge with the headed goal for VUC, and another almost identical disallowed one.

But that was a truly awful air swing from her to allow Gomez in to score.

As someone else posted the Mariners win gives hope the Nix ALW side can do it one day as well.

I’m sure Bev can create a better culture than Temple. That’s half the battle

Anyone here remember how Nat Lawrence benched Izzy Gomez because she was prioritising our Kiwis?

Glad she's been able to kick on

Victory's tactics at corners seem to be to interfere with the keeper and hope the useless refs let them get away with it.  Bunge is the beneficiary of that.  Glad they didn't win.

Sydney picked up a US Keeper, so not great for Brianna Edwards' playing time

Goodness knows what the keeper situation is at Sydney. They had 4 keepers on the go last season. Both Franco and Mason-Jones are leaving. Whether Edwards was dropped or injured is not clear.

Not a huge shock here

I hope Edwards picks something up but I think, for all her shot stopping ability , she has some weaknesses she is struggling to overcome.

She's been rather fortunate to be included in recent football ferns squads, and I can't see her getting that high in the pecking order again with the youth coming through.
