After our first win, can we back it up against 3rd place Adelaide. Last time we played them was just back on the 21st January and was a 0-1 loss.

Team is also talking about building for next season with only three games to go

Disgraceful from the FFA here. Such a no-brainer of a call to make, but now it's bad publicity. Anyone checked if their fax is plugged in?

See that the keeper taking Alfeld's spot (Brianna Edwards) is a dual NZ/Aus national, and has been involved in Aus age group training camps. But has stated she may switch to NZ, esp with U20 Women's World Cup later this year.

Wonder if that news has pissed off some folks at FFA. As we know with Stensness/Champness that sort of switcheroo stuff can wind some folks up.

I recall Ante Covic sat on our bench for one game a few years ago in similar circumstances.

Also note that Grace Jale did play a portion of a game in goal for Eastern Suburbs last season when the Suburbs keeper was injured during the game.

would be a waste to Jale on the bench covering a keepers spot, especially when she wont be able to play in the outfield.

Seems the universe decided to take on dealing with the FAs incompetency and the RGK debacle all by itself.

I wondered when the rearranged fixture would be. This plan makes sense. I hope Charlotte Lancaster gets a GK jersey with her name and number on it? I'm not sure they'll bother for a one-off that's unlikely to see the light of day - but would be a cool memento for her!

WTF, Zoe McMeekan smashes it back to the keeper likes she's shooting, scores an Oggie, not even sure why she passed back - was going forward and had options.

That Horror OG aside not a bad performance at all. Lovely goal from Jale. Is she a chance for a Ferns call up? She's having a great season.

Yup, shame about that own goal.  Great finish from Jale for her goal - very difficult angle.  Down to earth with a bump after the high of beating Canberra.  Onwards to WSW and Perth!

That was a bit of a step backwards by the girls. First half was good. But second half Adelaide came out put pressure on us up the field (targeted McMeechen not surprisingly) and just waited for us to make mistakes. Which we did plenty.
We didn't change or adjust. Kept trying to play out from the back. Not sure if that was a coaches directive to keep playing out under pressure. But sometimes I felt we just needed to play long to relieve that pressure.
Big learnings. Some of the decision making playing out was poor. Often players had space in front of them and options but decided to turn and play to a player that was under more pressure than them.
I guess you only learn from experience. But was frustrating to watch. And easy pickings for Adelaide.
Also felt like after last weeks win, we lacked that same intensity and desire.
These last two games are going to be season defining for me.

Losing 4-1 is better than losing 8-2. No one likes a loss. I have to say though, that that was one of the best ever own goals I have seen. Perhaps we should try her up front??
