Sporty Spice are coming to visit, and what we really really want is three points!

Looking forward to this game. Expecting a big crowd as well. The thing I love about Porirua Park is that due to the size it is easier to get involved with the chants as you can hear the words. Such a great day out.

I'm sure Samba will be out injured this weekend. But what did you hear Ballane. Season ending or just needs a lot of recovery time.

I'm guessing season ending. That will take the fan base down a bit and make it tougher in Aussie. We are signing a new forward soon at least, let's hope they can score some goals. We could definitely use having Macey back

That doesn't sound good. At least she's on a 2yr deal so hopefully we haven't seen the last of her even if it is season ending, but yeah if they are making an announcement about it, it surely can't be good.

I will wait in suspense until tomorrow

I'm still hopeful it's not season ending. Thursdays is when they announce there ins and outs for the weekend. So Ballane may be referring to that.
But it did look like she got her  lower leg trapped under the weight of there goal keeper.
She has been so good for the league profile and crowds. She would be a huge loss.

Really hope Bott is fit and ready to go.
Didn't look like Pijnenberg was quite ready to start. was off the pace a bit and lacked a bit of intensity in defence. Could have done better closing down / putting pressure on the strike that was there second goal. I'm sure she will be a great addition to the team but needs integrating and think Brazendale really should have started in Botts absence.
With Samba out. They need to find a way to start Leon. Coming on as a sub she hasn't been playing as a wing back, so not sure exactly where and how she fits in.
Wood our new signing to come on as a sub for impact.

I lost track somewhere, when did McCann get injured and how long is she out for?

Absolutely devastated for Samba.  Does anyone have a delorian so we can go back in time and ask her to be well out of the way of the Brissy goal keeper?

My hopes for this game have taken a bit of a dive.  Really hope the girls can rally and finally get a win tomorrow.

Leon in midfield and also new striker up top from the start would be awesome. Hopefully Bott is back to full fitness for this arvo

Real big game this.

Nix in form with two big wins and a draw recently. Have been dominant and much the better team in our last five games in total without always getting the results. Including the away game vs City.

They on the other hand started a bit slow and had some games postponed due to various factors but now seriously in premiership-winning form again and only 2nd because Canberra have played 3 more games. Also won all their previous matches against the Nix.

Big test for both sides here, hope we're up for it.

We bossed Melb City last time, and at the time Samba was still getting up to speed with the league and her team mates, we just couldn't score.
Subsequently, the goals have flowed for us.  Samba looked like she was firing and gelling last couple of games, so she's a very big loss for us.
Hope CJ is fully ready to own the midfield again, Pijnenburg was OK, but still new to the team (and fitness?).
I think Ellie Walker has been a bit of an unsung hero for us.  She's just solid and efficient at what she's done, doesn't get mentioned much, but just does what she needs to do so well.
Conversely, Esson makes me nervous, her positioning & judgment odd at times, has cost us some goals, not what I expected from someone of her pedigree.  No fumbles or flaps today, please!
Time for Emma Main and Manaia Elliott to put their shooting boots on
Makala Woods looks good, nice and robust, wonder who much we'll see of her today? She can put her shooting boots on too!
Go the Nix!

Priestman sounded doubtful that Bott would be available today. She has been named in the squad so really hope she is good to go, we need her to keep McNamara quiet.
Big test this one, and lots at stake to stay in top 6 contention.

Given our history of knee issues think and hope they take the really cautious approach.

Looking like a good turn-out here at Porirua Park, and for those of you watching at home keep an eye out for a very special outfit in the Fever zone (trust me, you’ll know what I’m referring to when you see it).

Bugger that was ominous. Where was the midfield cover.
Esson get a hand to it again but can't stop it.
We have the wind so need to take advantage

Is Esson actually a good keeper?
She touched the ball on both goals. I thought the rule if you touch it, it should be a safe.

Can't see us coming back from two goals down against the wind.
Citys defence looking solid.
And we have lost our sting up front.
Looking forward to seeing what Woods can provide. Elliot should give a bit too.

Main had to do better there - it's not been her best game. So much better when paired with Samba
