Crazy depth despite the players we've lost.
I would think in midfield. Pijnenburg is not exactly a ball winner. Bev likes two pacey forwards to run the channels. Vlok having a bit of a free role in the 10 is great, she's also quite physical which is good coming up against dms and defenders. So, yeah that leaves in midfield unless Bev changes shape - 343 with Macey and Vlok as the 10s.

What joy it is to watch people in a Nix shirt tear a team apart. Long live the womens team I am actually enjoying watching the women more than the men. The TV coverage when they play at Porrirua park is great. Its a small ground with the spectators right in close.....just the way football should be Im tiring of the BS thats now in the mens game everywhere with the macho shiithouse stuff and diving and mouthing off at the refs etc. The women just get on and play the game Can we dream of a Grand Final appearance for the women????
Ela Jerez was tearing it up in national league in the past and now her and The Main train weren’t able to make the match day squad. We have way more depth than in previous seasons. Would we be in this position with our old coaches if they had this quality of players? This is definitely the most depth we have ever had. Nelfoos

What do the skeptics about Pijnenburg have to say now?
I think she is plenty talented. Has good vision and a really accurate pass on her. Does tend to get bundled off the ball a bit in duels. But give her time to adjust to the physicality of ALW. Probably what she needs in her development. Got to remember she is still only young and hasn't played heaps of pro football.
What do the skeptics about Pijnenburg have to say now?
Looks slow and weak compared to the players shes up against. Caught on the ball too often and bypassed in midfield on the regular. Nice finish, but she's not been good so far.
All fixable though, and she's been thrown straight in the deep end in a new league to replace Bott, which are massive shoes to fill and probably makes her looks worse by comparison. Fully expecting improvements from her come playoffs.

The standard of refereeing in this game was abysmal. Thankfully we were so dominant that it didn’t influence the result, but if it had I imagine a lot more people would be talking about it. The Woods non-goal might be one of the worst calls I have ever seen in professional football

it was quite one sided, we got yellows and then for basically the same incident (probably more contact) no yellows for Jets, some bad fouls no yellows, we get called up for shoulder to shoulder and Jets are going into our backs and no calls. It felt like the ref was a catch up mechanic in a video game.
