Over the fudgeing moon with this team. Excellent talent and camaraderie. The imports love being here, and the Kiwi core is so encouraging to watch. Hope this core serves as a massive inspiration to every single young footballing girl in this country

The U22s were cooking under Temple against China's U24s, outclassing them for the most part, and he's carried over his results into senior footy. Surely a candidate for bigger and better things in the future, let's see where he leads the Wahinix

Production quality is ever increasing too. Kudos to Piney and Katie, and the thousands of fans making the trip to Jerry Collins. Second stand anyone?

Just need a local brewer (Abandoned maybe) to set up a pop up bar, unless there's a licensing issue? Porirua City council could greant one for the season surely.

Lots of comments from the fans there about not having a bar available.
About the only thing they could improve at a great venue!

Domey has heard fans comments about the scoreboard, food carts and beer (non) options and will take it onboard for the next game at Porirua. I think for a first game there it wasn't bad, with the atmosphere on the day and game on the pitch making it really enjoyable.

Fever also looking at a possible suitable pre-game pub option too after checking out on it yesterday. Just got to see if they'll come on board and transport options for it.

Baseball beer girls.
One of those things that you enjoy in Japan knowing that it would never fly in New Zealand! 
Eliminates queuing very effectively.
Edit: but easier to do during the stop start affair that is baseball! Haven’t seen them near any footy.

Piney is one of the best in the A-League, head and shoulders above most of the Aussies in the same role and those who have done similar roles before him (Dewhurst, Ngata). He's far from perfect but to say he's one of the worst is ludicrous.

I did enjoy Katie Barrott's insights as well, helps that she knows the players well!

Errrm- did anyone ask the women about shirts off? Not saying it’s not a touching traditional gesture and all, but…well I’m not convinced the aesthetic merits are universally appreciated!

What the fans do, has nothing to do with the players. 
If some people want to carry on the Phoenix tradition, good on them. 

I’ve shirts-offed as much as I could given results and my ability to attend. 

My thinking was something along the lines of- wasn’t there a nascent women’s active supporters group with its own identity in the works? 
If that’s not the case- the Fever is fairly blokey. How do we encourage any new women’s support to join the Fever (or work on an independent active support?)? 

Along those lines I was concerned if our 80 minute ritual was still the go despite it occasionally having had prepared female participants. 

Just a thought Hatter. There might fans as decent as Fraser is at footy out there just waiting…

Anyway I’m sure the Fever elite would get some communication if there was anything happening, and till then the more atmosphere the better I’m sure.

I believe the Flight of the Nix were setting themselves up as the Women's active – they are on Twitter, Facebook – could be wrong. I think its a good thing if there are other fans who want to do their own thing and attract new fans in, especially around the women's team which are fairly new.

OK, for my 2 cents worth:

Issues that were wrong: 
1] There needed to be a couple more food stalls but the two that they did have were brilliant with the their food in quantity and quality at very good prices (Suck on that Spotless and the Sky Stadium Trust). The chips were twice as largeas what you get at Sky...and Hot.
2] The lack of a giant scoreboard/clock so that we could see any replays of goals etc.
3] Some complained of lack of bar facilities.
4] Could the club or local council look at doing a temp stand on the other side of the field - like we had at the Hutt Wreck?? Perhaps a Temp terracing.

Issues that were right:
1] The free Car Parking
2] The food and drink as mentioned above. Great chips, great Hotdogs, great coffee, great milkshakes, great looking burgers.
3] The crowd/stand - up close to the actual playing surface.
4] The crowd involvement. For a smallish stand the amount of noise sounded brilliant whilst over at the Chip Cart. Well done everyone.
5] The whole game experience was just so much better than at Sky.
6] I ask you all to try attend any games out there at Gerry Collins stadium.

I do understand why the TV cameras were not on the other side of the pitch. They would have been staring at the Sun rather than having it behind them as they did, It would have looked great on TV seeing a full stand but I do understand why.

Lastly, if they did do a Temp stand, I'd suggest the club takes the men's games out there too. Stuff the Sky Stadium Trust and their take it of leave attitude. They charge the club for it's use, but charge them more than the Rugby. The $35 Car Parking, The expensive food & drink (Looking at it from a Mum, dad & kids point of view.) I think the Trust need a BIG  wake up call and have some pressure applied. Do they want an empty stadium or do they want people using it??

Very lastly. It was a brilliant game and Temple has them playing really well. The whole game day experience for me and my 2 granddaughters was excellent. Thanks Phoenix (& Domey) it really was a great day out. Oh and home in 25 minutes after the game. (Upper Hutt).

Did many people take the bus (instead of train) from Wgtn City to Porirua? I presume from lack of comments there were no problems with it.

Don’t need to touch the stand, that can stay as covered seating (could potentially have allocated seats there).

Stand behind the northern goal could be very simple GA bleachers for the fever (wouldn’t need to be massive).

Eastern stand could be a simple uncovered block of seats. Would only need to be maybe 5 or 6 rows deep so wouldn’t take up too much space.

Southern hill could remain as a grass bank for a nice family/picnic zone.

All together you’re probably looking at 5-7k capacity? Would be absolutely perfect for both women’s and men’s games.

Also free members parking off Gear Ave was excellent.

Might be okay for the numbers attending Womens games at the moment. But have serious doubts everyone would be as happy if you are trying to get 5 or 6 thousand into and out of the ground. it would quickly turn into a complete shambles. I would hope they dont even consider taking a Mens game there. Pre season maybe but certainly not an A league game.

Nah I reckon it would be alright. I didn’t see the shuttle situation because I drove but just chuck a few more resources at the gate checking for a more smooth process and add some more food stalls (maybe some portaloos too) and it would be sweet.

I’ve been to West Brom games with 26k fans and it’s been fine. Bigger stadium yes but still no real public transport or dedicated parking around and that’s been all good.

No reason why 5-7k can’t be done as long as it’s managed properly.

Sorry cant agree worked out that way for 20 years and sometimes traffic around the ground was nothing short of a nightmare especially when there was something on.There were very few times the numbers trying to attend an event would match what would be attending a Mens game.
