Need to bounce back from our first defeat of the season.  

Lets play Midnight. It's a fun game!

With Perth performing pretty poorly hopefully we can nab a win and boost the teams confidence! 

Can we sign Jenkins? Surely worth a punt. After the first round I thought Samba could kick on, but her lack of mobility in the last game worries me. I think her injury is worse than she/they are letting on?

Not smart defensive play if you watch the replay and concentrate on her movements (or lack of) when the goal was scored.

Still would still be showing as registered for Wellington United from the WNL. And her International Transfer would be sorted too.

Pretty much all the Nix so far. One off the post, one cleared off the line. Unfortunately our attack doesn't have much structure and sort of consists of whacking it into the middle and hoping for the best. That said a concrete hard pitch is making structured football very difficult.

Cross fingers this doesn't turn into one of our traditional 1-0 losses. 

Couple of great saves from the Perth keeper. Just wont go in for the Nix.

And there it goes. Perth score directly from a corner and the Nix are behind.

Bugger me it's hard being a Nix fan.

Even allowing for heat and the lateness of the game that's a disastrous loss against a very average Perth. Lots of energy in our front third but almost zero creativity or combination play. 

Couple of good saves from their keeper, ours couldn't manage to keep out the only effort that even faintly challenged our goal.

That's such bs. The ref adds 5min when one injury just before the 90 took about 5min and there were quite a lot of other stoppages, and then blows basically at 95min. 

Two toe hackers in Samba and Elliot squandered multiple chances when you just need an extra touch and some finesse.

Perfect FC win and the second frustrating 1-0 defeat in a row for our ladies, what a shark start to the weekend.

Second half - actually started to create clear cut chances, but of course we still couldn't put them on fudgeing target. Aaaaand concede a very sharkty goal.

Facts are - we have 3 goals in 5 games. Forget any excuses, we will not be anywhere near playing finals if we keep this up. It demands dramatic improvement immediately.

Samba did play the full game but even early on you can tell she's quite hampered by her injury. Hopefully she gets back to full fitness soon. Otherwise, trying to fill the holes of Whinham, Middag, and Fraser (not getting my hopes up) by even 1 player before the window closes in a couple of weeks will hopefully help with some creativity and chance creation.

So another loss, only one win this season and now near the bottom of the table. Not quite what everyone was expecting.
Its not panic stations yet but they really need to notch up a couple of back to back wins or the top of the table will get away from them.

Oh dear. Didn't see the the game. But that result will haunt the team on there long trip home.
What a rotten start to the season. Injuries absences and the away game boggie continues.

Quite simply they have little composure in front of goal. There were some appalling misses. 

Can we get in a coach to work specifically on finishing? Or do we already have an attacking coach? Even someone from the men’s side to spend a few hours with our attacking players. Is Greenie still around? Or Ifil? Jose Figuera is available now too and worked with the female team at Western Springs with good results in the past.

You really want someone from the mens side to help with finishing they arnt any better. Both teams really struggling to put away their chances.
Even with the injuries the women's team really have been disappointing. 

The team looked great on paper in pre-season. I hope they can turn it around and get on a run.

Coach?
Jeez, I could coach them on finishing.  But what they really need is practice - using both feet,and head, balls coming at them from all directions, hitting first time or taking a touch and transferring to the other foot, following the foot through after they struck the ball, keeping balance and core strength....hours and hours of it.

The team has been playing pretty well. Again, injuries and absences have diminished the quality and experience of what we had on paper - but we have still been better than most teams we have played.
