Canberra are on the otherside of the draw. They have to beat Victory and then Mel City. Plus we have to beat our opponent too to met them in the final. Though it would be cool if both capital cities were vying for the trophy. Edit.. ignore me I'm an idiot and can't read properly. FB_IMG_1775385794526.jpg110.69 KB

3rd play 6th & 4th play 5th in one off games. City play the lowest ranked winner of those one off games, in a 2 legged Semi, we get the highest ranked winner.
Comments on Dub Zone think we might hold leg 1 of the semi here in Wgtn. Reasoning being that means the team only cross the Tasman once before the second leg. Rather than twice. Not sure if anything has been locked in yet.

We play the highest placed qualifier from the two play off games. So if Canberra beat Victory and Adelaide beat Brisbane, we play Canberra

Were they meaning we'd stay in Aus for the grandfinal if we won?
Seems silly. Much greater benefits of playing the second leg at home (ie extra time / pens at home rather than away)

No they were referring to the amount of travel before the second leg game. If we play the second leg in Wellington then we have to travel to Aus and then travel back to Wellington before that game. Where as our opponent will only need to cross the Tasman once pre game. I'm not sure how much the international flights affect the teams. will depend who play I guess and how much travel is involved. But yes otherwise second leg at home has other benefits. Didn't work out for the men a few seasons back after getting a draw in Melbourne in the first leg, extra time and all in the second leg here.

Cant agree at all if you need to win that 2nd game and your chasing goals. Would imagine nearly all teams would much rather prefer that they do that at home than have to do it away. Is the travel really going to be that bad at this stage of season i would think not. They should be well rested and its not as if they need to take last minute flights to get there.
It's a weird concept. I don't think its the travel, but how much time you have to recover/adjust.
If the first game was here then the Aus team would go home the day after. Giving them almost a week to recover. We wouldn't do the same. We'd go a day or two before as usual.
The reverse happens if the first game is away.
So under both options, both team travel a day before an away game and a day after away game.

Graphic from the official account says weekend of the 8-10th but nothing from the Nix confirming the date afaik.

Just a heads up if your coming up make sure you have tickets locked in as would imagine thay are going to get scarce once they are on sale. Even if they do get the go head for a tempory stand dont think that will satisfy demand.
Wouldn't be a Football Ferns tour without some Nix injuries. I really hope they don't make Jale play another full 90 mins after she just played 5 games in 20 days for the Nix. Jale probably the most important Nix player atm.

I’ve just watched it again on the FIFA+ replay because I never trust my memories from at the game.
It didn’t look terrible, but the concerning thing is whatever she said to the medics they decided to bring her straight off. Looked like maybe her right ankle from the way she was limping, but who knows - I just hope that whatever it was she’ll be good to go for the semis!
Unfortunately, we will be without Emma Main for our finals campaign. Mainy has a chronic lumbar spine injury and has made the decision to rehab her back to focus on being fully fit for the 26/27 season.

A temporary stand will be built at the northern end of the venue to boost capacity.
“There are little over a thousand seats available in the Jerry Collins Stadium stand and I expect these will be snapped up this week,” Phoenix general manager David Dome Dome said.
“We’re putting in the additional temporary seating to give as many fans as possible a seat for the women’s biggest-ever game.

Who knows not as if Phoenix have kept the fans inthe picture. You normally get an email so we should all find out in 10mins hopefully. then we can crash Ticketec
