What you have done has been nothing short of an amazing miracle for someone out there in need of a change of scenery and to take gheir mind/s off the issues they face. You are already my fan of the year. ...probably along with 99% of us.

So I caught the family at the game last night briefly. They seemed to be enjoying themselves, there was a dad and three kids at the game and the younger ones were wearing the YF scarves proudly. The father said he was taking photos, so hopefully I'll get them on Monday and can post them here.

So while very happy to hear that I'm a finalist in the FFDU awards, I've spoken with my wife and we just can't afford for me to attend the awards night. I have our first child due and we are saving every penny for the baby. So still hoping I now win, but won't be there to accept if I do.

Worked out I'd need about $400-450 for flights and somewhere to crash, not sure I could raise that.

May I suggest that any money from donation that doesn't get spent on sending Matt to the awards be used to start next years #FeverDreams fund?

Yes you may Patrick. Good idea. I am flying over with Matt so he has someone to talk to on the plane

I'm happy to say I currently have about $1800 still left from the original fundraising effort. Depending on our finals run will depend on how much we have left at the end of it, but I would say we have a good chunk that can go towards continuing this for next year.

Also, thank you to the ones that donated. I know we do have this Fever Dreams money sitting there but it didn't feel right to spend that money when it was donated to the families and this event so I didn't even want to ask to use it towards me getting to Sydney for the awards.

Has your away record improved lately?

Oh and by the way I am paying for that myself, not using the money raised from the givealittle appeal fund - that's just for Matt's attedance

If Matt misses out we now have a scape goat - Brandon and his wonderful away form. Seriously, should be a good event for you both. And should Matt win, are you both going to pick up the awadd shirtless?

For transparency:

1. I set the "target" on the givealittle page to $600. That was just a guess.
2. We've raised $690 so far.
3. Today Matt booked flights ($468 return) on his credit card and I booked and his accomodation for him ($276) and transferred $744 to his bank account.
4. After we exceed $744 (if we exceed it) the balance will go into next year's #FeverDreams kitty.

So I dropped of this Sundays stuff to Ronald McDonald House just now, kind of hoping we win this weekend so I have two weeks to try organise the tickets and passes for the finals!
