Yakcall, I have four spare tickets to this weekend's game because I didn't use up my nix six flexi pass. Would be happy to donate them to another Ronald McDonald House family if a family could be found and it's not too short notice. What do you reckon, any chance that could work?

Hey, so have been in touch with people from RMH and they are keen for a second family. Got in touch with the Nix and should be able to get lounge passes as well. I will then also provide the family with food vouchers and scarves. So I will get those tickets off you thank you!

So much this !!
Matt,
I'd like to chip in.
I see you've reached the goal to make Sydney possible and the Fever Dreams donation page is closed.
Do you want new donations to continue to go in to the Sydney page or will you re-open the Fever Dreams page ?
I really hope you win the award (I know that won't matter to you) but it's not often enough that good people doing good things with the best of motives get recognised.

Thank you, if you could just used the Sydney give a little page as any extra we will add to Fever Dreams. The other page has expired and I thought I won't start a new one till preseason next year.
I wanna see Mikah(?) at another game. Lil kid in the blue. He looked WELL into it last time.

Agree Micah smile and pure enjoyment is what sums up the experience!
it could well be an award winning smile!
Yakall - do you know if any of the families have made a second trip. Obviously difficult given their circumstances but just curious.

Sorry no I don't but I'm due to talk to a contact at RMH and can ask if she knows any more.
Second family confirmed from Ronald McDonald House, just waiting to hear from the Phoenix about being able to pick up the lounge passes and parking pass then I will be able it all off to them hopefully tomorrow. Would rather avoid the area on Saturday.
$794 paid throug the givealittle page, plus $50 from Lonegunemen paid direct to me, makes a totasl of $844.
As stated earlier, any money recieved over and above the amount needed to get Matt to the awards night will be put into the #FeverDreams kitty for next season.
Thank you all so much.
So second lot of stuff dropped off to another excited family. Thank you Fitzy for the tickets and a thank you also goes to Mike from the Nix for the help in getting the parking and lounge passes.

Sorry for the lack of posting this week, I'm finding since my previous contact has left Ronald McDonald House that I don't get as much feedback from them (Don't get me wrong I realise they are busy too with other stuff) but the previous person was a front of house member and seem to be really on to it with the families and letting me know.
Anyway, I have spoken to them today and they did say the families on the weekend had an amazing time and loved the game (despite the result) and they said the atmosphere was electric. I have warned them that this weeks game is a late one, but they have someone in mind that they think will be a great cheerleader for the Nix to have at the game. They did say they were going to ask the families if they had any photos so hopefully we may get something more.
Also I have decided not to go with the lounge passes and they are ok with this, the reasoning behind this is with the finals series we can't get the passes from the Nix due to being FFA controlled. I did enquire about the cost for the passes and it was $99 per person which I think the money would be better spent next year to get families to more games than a one off cost for the game. They will still get everything else.
Wise call Matt. Fully support your choices.

Thank you all so much.
So givealittle finally approved the moderation of the page. so now if you go to
https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/mattweldonsmithffd...
It doesn't give the pop-up warning that the page is awaiting moderation.
I thought I would just post this here for transparency in case anyone was wonderign about why that had been the case. Givealittle asked Matt and I to provide proof of identity, including a signed note from Matt that he had agreed with me that the fund would be paid to my account and I would transfer the money to him.
So, anyway, it's all approved now.
There's been $809 in donations through the givealittle page, and $50 donated direct to my account from Lonegunmen. That makes a total of $859 to date. Thanks everyone who has donated.
As previously posted on page 30 of this thread, I have already put $744 into Matt's account for the flights and his accomodation.
That leaves $115 left to be added to next year's #FeverDreams fundraising effort when we set up the new fund.
Yay, next season is gonna start with a hiss and a roar in the right direction already.
Ok so stuff has been dropped off again for the family this Sunday, fingers crossed it won't be the last one, Just need the Nix and the Roar to win there next two home games and we have the final! #AntiJinx
Someone just donated another $200 anonymously. If you are that person and you read this, thankyou.

Wow, that is amazing. I think we could be looking at already having $1,800-900 for next season then to continue this.
That donor deserves a DB. Wow, what a fantastic gesture from them. This is quite "heart warming" without being gushy. The spirit of some fans really makes one feel positive.
Well what a season, sure the results the last few weeks and last night wasn't what we wanted but as a group I hope you are all really proud of what we have done here. We had 14 families attend 13 home games including 1 in Auckland, 3 in Lower Hutt and one final, there is now 26 people out there with Fever scarves to hopefully wear to future games and best of all, we gave families that are going through a tough time a day away from hospitals and doctors to enjoy some football and spend time together. The pictures and stories we have received says it all.
Ronald McDonald pass on their sincere thanks for the generous donation of tickets etc through the season. They look forward to continuing support and great results in the next season.
On that note, after everything that has been paid for we go into next season with $1,895 (incl latest donations to BWTCF) to continue Fever Dreams again.
Last Note: Fingers crossed we do get one more award and we win the FFDU award on 22nd May.
Awesome work Matt, and everyone else involved. I have to say this is my proudest moment of the entire season, seeing these families smiling and knowing that we are giving them a break from the hospital.
Look forward to continuing this next year.
