22 people kicking a ball around a field isn’t exactly the real world either. They’re both games.
Not my thing to watch video games at all, but let’s not pretend it’s much different to grown men/women watching other grown men/women kick a ball around a field.
People like to watch people play games. Whether it’s football or a video game.
You mean about 20 tragics want to watch a video game. FFS . Videogaming might be a fun thing to do at home when you don't have a girlfriend, but lets get real here, its total bollocks
think you need to get your head out of the newspaper and remember you're on an online forum (ie not real world) discussing a game. The world of E sports is massive and it's only going to get bigger.
Excellent, its like synchronised swimming and breakdancing in the Olympics, great for those that enjoy it and want to follow it, but gaming has absolutely no connection with the real world or football or the Phoenix. If the Phoenix buy into this shark in the desperate fight for online hits, then that's up to them, but they can wave goodbye to football supporters like me
taking this way too seriously mate. It’s a nice accompaniment to the A-League for people who are interested, not in the realm of ever replacing it or anything. 25 million people bought FIFA 18 not including China so a fair few of them are in Aus/NZ - it’s not a virgin magnet like you seem to believe, just check Cillian Sheridan’s social medias, he’s obsessed. Hell even Mitch Austin was a contestant in the E-League last season. It's not a massive draw for me, i catch the occasional Nix E-League game now and then when it's on - but stopping supporting the Phoenix because of a little FIFA competition is a little strange if you ask me
