Win on Friday and we go level with City on 30 points
R20 vs Western United | Fri 21th Feb | 7:15pm | RoF/SS7 | #WhackingDay
Just realized I'm at a wedding our of town on Friday afternoon, so I can't make it! :((((
Must win game this one, hopefully get a decent crowd. Weather is supposed to improve by Thursday
bringing a couple of mates down on friday , we are going to have a look at the cricket for a few hours in the afternoon then a feed and some football to finish.
Looking forward to seeing what limps out of the tunnel to play us. At the risk of jinxing us, I'm picking a BIG Nix win here.
It's always bugged me why the Nix and NZC haven't teamed up on weekends when both are in town to offer ticket deals. Show your Nix ticket at the cricket and get a discount, then vice versa.
The Nix should also be looking at shuttles from the Basin to the stadium.
Tempted to hide dunnix's post.

They have still got players that can hurt us. Berisha has been a bit of a nemises against us in the past. And Diamante is a player who can turn a game. Risdon and Pain are both dangerous on the flanks. If they score first they will shut up shop and make it very difficult for us.
I hope we turn up with the right attitude for this one, because a win will go along way to cementing our place in the top 6.
Any updates on Reno's injury?

Talay was on radio sport today. Made it sound not to bad. Said he is on light recovery training and was even a chance for Fridays game, which surprised me.

Fantastic. We should rest him nonetheless. Give him this week then our "bye" week and have him ready to go for CCM and the back to back to back games.

fudge jinxes, we're gonna KILL em
Have Friday off for the cricket, and then straight to Phoenix. Pumped!
Lost to them at home last time of course, so a good chance to show the improvements we've made since then.
Time to win and cut the head of this snake

I'm worried Berisha is gonna smash it this week, he always scores against us at home. WU beat us last time at home too.
not the best visual of it- but time to bring back this? Thought about it after the weekend's goal...

I wonder if we need the "Lucky Bandage"??

Failing that, just getting that monkey off our back (thrashing WU in front of our home crowd) would be great.

Is a large win over our old coach and a few traitors in front of 10k too much to ask?
Here's the challenge for us fans down here. Auckland made a good atmosphere even better because they pretty much all joined in with most of the chants. It was LOUD and quite impressive. I have to take my hat off to them for that. It made a difference. Not only do we need to start showing up in numbers but we also need to motivate all areas of the ground to join in with the vocals and get behind this team. everyone delivered last Saturday, let's try and make it happen again please.
Not sure how you expect that to happen with people so spread out at the ROF. Not everyone goes to the football to scream and shout and sorry don't see why we should expect everyone who comes to support in that way. Have spoken to few people over the years who have be coming since we started and while they love what YF fever brings to the game they also prefer to watch and support in amore subdued way.

I feel a new chant coming on
"Welly Phoenix,
Yellow Fever,
That's amore"
Time to win and cut the head of this snake
The Melbourne Nix fans took a big fake rubber snake to Ballarat when we played there. That would be quite funny to recreate.

Kudos for them getting it through at Ballarat, seeing how relentless the security guards were there.

Well if 10000 turn up and each one buys a rubber snake at the local 2 dollar shop to wave at Rudan and heaven forbid maybe throw around that would perhaps allow him to understand that people don't believe his bullshark and allow others to know he truely is a snake
I will be up in Auckland on Friday, where on the North Shore is the best place to watch the game?
Remember guys, all aboard the boos parade.
We got in Kurtos head last time, let’s do it again. Would love to see that C U Next Tuesday throw another hissy fit like a baby.

Rugby watchers mentality. Sit down, be quiet, watch the game.
In my experience going to Super rugby games, the people around haven’t normally appreciated any excited standing or noise. Maybe this has bled over to the football. Even being in the fever it’s frustrating that we’re not pumping for 90 mins. Those drums should never stop. I’ve yelled at the drummer for not playing enough. Doesn’t listen. Why do we stop after three oh Wellington’s? You get a better atmosphere at a League Two game.

If your not happy about the drumming put your hand up and offer to take over. not everyone is comfortable starting chants once again if your not happy start them.
Comparing the atmosphere tg a League Two game says it all really
Christchurch fans.
Get on down to Robbie's Riccarton for the game vs the snakes.
Robbie's have kindly allocated us the outdoor area (as there is a clash with the crusaders game) so we need to turn up in good numbers.
They've also asked us to turn up 6 45 pm if possible (unfortunately I'll be a bit late). Hopefully there's some pre-game on the telly though??
Fire up

This. People pay their money and can support their team however they like. Yeah, there's an expectation that things will be different in the Fever Zone, which is fair enough, but telling people that they have to do, or not do, certain things because that's how you want them to behave at a game, and criticising them for not acting like you think they should? Nah.
I think things have got a bit out of context here.
I believe the earlier comment in this thread was about how good the noise and atmosphere was at Eden Park. Not a criticism of supporters at the cake tin.
No 1 for creating atmosphere is to actually turn up and support your team whether you want to be vocal or not.
I wasn't at Eden Park but from my observation, the way they grouped all the supporters in one area of the stands created its own atmosphere. This seems to work well at that venue.
Not sure this can be done the same way at the cake tin due to it being an oval cricket ground..

The said challenge that has been taken completely out of context as you said. There were no criticisms, just a request to try and match the Auckland effort.

Sounds like Piscopo is a good chance to start.
I hope not, thought he was really poor last week and McCowatt had much more of an impact when he came on.
