"We beat Everton 4-1 after being 1-0 down at ht, Man U lost 2 W Ham
2-1" was the txt i recieved on holiday, probably the best txt i
received all week possibly all year.
Not so often anymore no!
some more good news. 2:55 am mon morning on sky sport 1.
Burnley Vs Arsenal.
Bump for the match tomorrow.
Over the holiday period I only managed to see the first half of the dire Portsmouth performance. Resorting to checking results online on my mobile, I was so stoked to see us back on top after the Irons turned over Man U and we dominated Everton. And then to follow it up with a great result against the Irons (who might finally now STFU about beating us twice last season ) to lead by two points with 17 matches to go. Put me in a great mood for NYE that's for sure.
Our next three league matches are completely winnable too. Plus the Carling Cup semi against spurs.
And I must add a lol at Liverpool. Oh dear, same story different year.
Proud to be a Claret! Thought we played good football - not
big hoof long ball stuff.
clichy has 3 asists now in the last two games, two for
eduardo, one for adebayor
it really was a great game. bring on the stretch of home games!
eduardo with a stunner, could not believe adebayors goal. how did
he do that?! 2 points up and two off leading in goal difference
too. great to be a gooner!
Almunia - "Englands,Englands Number one"
2-0 over the Hammers without getting out of second gear.Top of
the league and still in with a shout for every trophy.Bring on
2008......
Arsenal shirts for tommorrow i hear....
Actually, I think we were lucky to catch you at this stage of the
year given our depleted squad. We presently have a reasonable goal
difference, which later on may come in handy. Had you not decided
to sit back on your 2 - 0 lead and conserve your energy for the
remainder of the congested Christmas fixtures, we may well have
been on the end of a slaughtering.
Watched the second goal over and over. Upson tried to stick
his arse out to stop it and still missed. Amazing.
Has West Ham started a new trend of welcoming departed players
back to their old home grounds. It happened again with Freddie L.
Probably would have happened with Cantona if he had returned
to Old Trafford, but I cant see Frank Lampard getting a standing
ovation at Upton Park in the near future.

The Utd result would have taken it out of your lot thankfully for
us.
Not sure how the " We hate sp*rs more than you" came
about from the Hammers.
Must have been one of Frankie Macs....
Toure,Eboue and Song heading off after this weekend, thankfully
Togo are rubbish
anybody want that sig
Wouldn't think so pedersen considering he's a cheating git!
And next you'll be telling us that C Ronaldo doesn't
dive

What a crock - he's a filthy flopping piece of sh*te!
even though i'm rather biased, that is still quite a
laugh!

Top by 2, overcame a huge challenge in Everton at Goodison
it's starting to look better and better for us this season. Eduardo
seems to have come good, but i do emphasise seems. Otherwise it is
a wonderful time to be a gooner.

When was the last time it was bad to be a gooner?
I think Burnley are in for a nasty shock this weekend. 5-0 to
us i think.

Yet to see Ronaldo this season, word is hes still hiding in

Come on you CLARETS!!!!!!
(actually been playing jobbies lately, so could be a bit
embarrassing ... may as well get my chant in now)
I got up for the game but went back to bed at half-time. Apart from
Eduardo and Bendtner we looked poor.
Still, a win's a win (just ask Everton or Liverpool ).
Still, a win's a win (just ask Everton or Liverpool ).
I managed to watch it all, then watched the other two aswell.
Credit to Burnley they played quite well and at least tried to take
the game to us somewhat. The sending off was unfortunate for them
too but i'm not complaining. Eduardo and Bendtner were definately
the stand outs and their combining for the second goal was class.
Traore was tripe and i think it will be 'close your eyes' time when
Senderos replaces Toure during the African Nations Cup.
Agreed about Traore - he has been talked up so much but looks
really poor when it comes to the crunch. Our normal back four are
so damn good, it's tough to watch when even just one of them are
missing. We are certainly guna struggle without toure - i hope they
give djourou a crack - i'd rather put up with him than Phillipe
Send'emoff. We should really just knuckle in and buy an experienced
defender - the back four plus GK are the only positions where i
really do think we need experience.
i managed to stay awake during the game, eduardo and bendtner were
the only positives for me, they seem to work well together and each
scored really well taken goals.
every time eduardo has to finish he opens up and goes for the
same side of the goal. that is what made him miss his second chance
if he had rolled it towards the far post he would've had a much
better shot of scoring,
oh and Sagna and Toure were as good as always
Moments of brilliance separated it,although Burnley I thought played extremely well.
Traore had an off day,but is normally quality.
Eduardo was my man of the match (cant believe he didnt score
the 2nd) but his link up and partnership with Bendtner was the
highlight for me.They looked like they had been playing together
for years.
The 2nd goal seemed a bit like a Bergkamp-like pass from
Eduardo to a Henry-like run of Bendtner. That partnership did
alright for themselves.
FA Cup draw tonight, would love Ch*lski at home for another
chance to give C*nt some stick.
Sp*rs on Thursday,She wore a yellow ribbon....
Missed the game, but will find a replay.
How did Gilberto go?
I wanted to see Diarra get a game, but he wasn't even on the
bench...?
We draw Newcastle or Stoke for the fourth round of the FA cup.
Proud to be a Claret! Thought we played good football - not
big hoof long ball stuff.
Not often I get to comment on a Gunners thread, so I'd better
pop back to Championship and Sherpa Van trophy threads
and the like! Hopefully back on this thread in a couple of
years as a Premiership outfit!
You played very well - good, attractive football that was much more
pleasing to the eye than most of our premiership opponents.
Agreed, it was good to see. Don't quite understand how you're only
mid-table with that kinda football. Needa get their spirit goin
like that for the league matches!

Was surprised not to see Diarra myself - perhaps an indication
that Wenger's guna let him go?
He's not cup-tied for the FA Cup now....
You did play good football, it was good to watch.
Anyone else see that txt from the Burnley fan at ht? It read
'Were losing 1-0, but we're the better team...' or words to that
effect.
At half-time (which is all I could handle) they arguably were the
better side.
I'm hoping Senderos gets an extended run in the team. He always
seems a little nervous for the first game then settles in and does
quite well for us. He deputized really well for Sol a season or so
ago and I think he has the quality and the pace to be a good
prospect. You have to remember that our back four are probably the
best in the league right now so no-one will feel comfortable
filling Toure's shoes but give Senders a chance and he might just
surprise you. His form leading up to his shoulder injury in the
world cup was excellent, he even scored in the game he got injured
in. I think he is still trying to reach that same level again so i
hope that at the end of the month he is there or there abouts.
Senderos better be because we only have Djourou (young and a bit
skittish) or potentially Gilberto (a bit sluggish these days) to
play there otherwise.
Unless of course Arsene dips into the transfer market for that position, as he has indicated he may do.

I'm quite concerned about the rumours of Diarra leaving with
Newcastle and Lyon supposedly making enquiries. I've heard he isn't
happy about the lack of 1st team opportunities but as our midfield
is so strong, he shouldn't have expected to just walk in and become
a regular. His time will come. He's obviously a good player but
Cesc and Flamini are the 2 first choice central pairing at the
moment. An injury to one of them and he'd be straight in I would
say. His only other competition is Gilberto and I think he'll be on
his way in the transfer window.
Hopefully Arsene can persuade him to stay but he has never
stood in the way of an unhappy player. Remember Flamini has
threatened to leave for the last few seasons for the same reason
and look at him now.
Very good comment about Flamini - that's true... he did threaten to
go and is now a fixture.
I would be disappointed to see Diarra go, but in reality i
don't see him becoming a first team regular - he is just decent
cover for injuries and if he can't handle that then we will need to
let him go.
RvP back for Spurs tomorrow!
---------------Fabianski
Sagna---Djourou---Senderos---Traore
Walcott---Gilberto---Denilson---Diaby
------------RvP---Eduardo
Assuming Diarra is on his way, otherwise he may play instead of Gilberto.

flamini said he wants to leave again though. i google news'd it
sbout a week back and got 10 or so articles saying flamini had
rejected a 5 year deal worth 35, 000 pounds a week because he
wanted more.
having said that i just did it again and there was only one
article on it and that said that ' the soon to be off contract
flamini seems to be very close to a move to juventus'
I've heard that too and it disappoints me. He should be happy to be
a 1st team regular. Almost sounds like another case of Cashley
Cole.
Would be sad to lose him, but if he doesn't want to play for
the deal he's got now, i'd rather he fuk'd off and played
elsewhere!
Wow, I'll be very surprised if Flamini doesn't want to stay.
Not only is he a first team player in arguably the best team in the world right now, his character seems like that of a real team fighter.
I really hope he stays (surely they could throw a bit more money his way?).
