I hope we draw.

Back four could have their work cut out for them, I’m still sceptical of Fenton and Laws, and Sutton is still learning the left-back position as we saw when he was up against Halloran. Payne and Sail will have to lead them well if there’s a chance of stopping City
carlind Right side should be OK, but I'm really worried we're going to get torn apart on the left.

Only chance I can see of us getting something from this game is not letting it get too stretched. In the last two games City have put 7 past Roar and the Reds who both play that expansive game. Fingers crossed.
Royz Another woeful comment from you.
Outpost Fenton has been really good, has beaten players a few times.
YoungHeart Good on him...

Well it’s a dick move. He’s got a lot more work today yet if we’re going to hang on here.
Certainly the ref with the highest international profile to ever ref in the A-League.
Just looked him up:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alireza_Faghani
An Iranian who in 2019 seems to have settled permanently in Australia with his family.
One of the top FIFA international refs from the Asian Confederation.
Another example of how immigration from diverse backgrounds benefits our football.
He reffed the 2016 Olympic men's football final, four matches at the 2018 World Cup including France vs. Argentina Round of 16 and England vs. Belgium Third place match, 2015 Asian Cup Final, 2015 FIFA Club World Cup Final.
I have an Iranian immigrant family living up the road from me here in Christchurch - lovely people and the males all football-crazy.
I know a few Iranian post-grad students at Canterbury University too who are keen on staying here.
Usually they immigrate because they don't like their own repressive government and prefer the more open western lifestyle.

Probs the best chance to beat city with their line up
Taylor is ill, not playing.
Tayler sick. Uli Hamstring.

City have made multiple changes. Still don't keep hopes for a win. We don't stand a chance.
Yee of little faith.

Oh well. Bring on next week!!
Not even 2 minutes into the coverage and the commentator has already mangled about half the names on the team sheets...
Woeful! we are getting dicked for sure.
5 minutes in and it's ugly so far. Can't get the ball, sitting far too deep and when we do get a chance on the ball we good it to no one. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
Yep this is our season! cant pass the ball in the final 3rd and no good enough in the middle
Hemed is just not good enough
Playing the top team in league away and pretty even first 10 mins.
Piscopo stepping into Davila's most-fouled-player shoes.
Feel like City could go up a few gears yet.
Ball doing well. We need to convert our chances here.
Half an hour in, we are doing well. But why waste that free kick by just restarting when we've put them under pressure twice from free kicks into the box? We need to make the most of every opportunity we get.
And we blow the best chance of the game ffs
Woeful! we are getting dicked for sure.
YUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Great pen!
Great pen
Heart sank when I saw Louis trying to take on the defender rather than put the early cross in but hey sometimes we get some luck!
Guy knows how to take a pen for sure
Damn we blow another chance!
Aaagh should've been two!

That was the chance for 2-0!!!!
Hemed and the 🇮🇱 flag celebration. That'll rile up a few people! 😬
We've come into this one though. It's scrappy, but it suits us perfectly at the moment

A really nice one. Four players there. Gotta take our chances.

City tearing us apart, no way we win this now.

Take f-king Middle East bs off topic. We’re lucky to be able to watch football and not have a war or a pandemic IMO.
Well this is all just going far too well.
