Hopefully we can get 3 point as an early Nixmas pressie as a reward for staying up this late to watch.

Saturday morning is a write off. Thank God for no kids sports this weekend!!!!
Speaking from experience watching exciting games at that hour of the night, going straight to sleep at that time only works if the game is meh.
I can't remember which one it was but one of the usper late games I remember dozing off after a boring 30 mins, woke up and we had conceeded another goal so I just went back to sleep on the couch haha
If we thrash them I'll ambitiously hope the adrenaline has worn off by 3!
Big losses for impact off the bench but will still have Kosta and OVH if needed. Does mean we’ll bring over a wee-nix attacker? Hopefully we finish them off early so we aren’t reliant on the subs
RR What a difference 60 years makes! I had my (inguinal) hernia repaired when I was 12 years old. I spent over a week in hospital and I still have traces of the 10cm scar!
All done arthroscopically now; modern medicine is great.

Noah Karunaratne was named in a squad pre-World Cup iirc, so he might be called up again.

Ninja He has a niggly injury which he can't quite shake off. While being fit to play I don't think Talay wants to run him for the whole game just yet. He may start this week if he has shaken the injury off.

Ryan oh fuuuuuck
Ryan isolated case of gastro apparently
Ryan That and the Breakers had it run through their camp so they have a bunch of games postponed.
The shark is everywhere so I am glad to hear that Payne just has a terrible case of the sharks.
i dont mind the late start im at work until 11 anyway
Will happily be watching along, sloshed as anything after my end of year work Christmas do.
I hope we mash them.
Please! 🙏

Looking forward to the game, but dunno if I will watch live. Maybe watch in the morning. Takes some of the fun out of it though, just knowing you could look at your phone and find out what happened, find out whether it was worth watching or not.
might well be a case of a pregame nap, then straight to sleep afterwards at 2:30am

No Ben Waine (illness) and no Ben Old (hernia surgery) for @WgtnPhoenixFC in Perth tomorrow night
— Andrew Voerman (@andrewvoerman) December 22, 2022
Old is due to resume running on December 27 and could be back for Melbourne City at home on January 2

You'd think Riley Bidois will be on the plane as cover or to sit on the bench. But this is a prime example of why Talay made most of his signings at the attack end this season.
Too many games last season, when due to lots of injuries he only had kids on the pine, and was bereft of sub options to change the game when going a goal behind.
And who knows if Sasse has turned the corner, then yet again Uffie has got his visa signings far more right than wrong.

Be interesting to see how Keegan Jelacic goes for Perth. Going to be tough for the Nix, a long trip (they arrived 4am NZ time last night), plus the heat.
Adelaide had a long road trip to Welly last weekend, and they were pretty sluggish.

Unfortunate we don't have the Ben's, if there's a game you need a strong bench for it's a game that finishes at 2am

Pretty warm here in Perth today although should cool to a balmy 27 by kick-off time, the venue Macedonia Park is very much out in suburbia so will be interesting to see what sort of crowd rolls up!
Wonder how hot it is at midnight though. Surely it cools down a bit.

Payne - Isolated gastro.
Yep, on twitter they just said "sick" which in the current climate makes you think of the worst, especially with two players sick at the same time.
Any streams? Am away so normal connections not working.

Awful surface. Not going to see much quality footy on that.
Had to be him didn't it...
