Can I  congratulate the team on winning, while also being concerned about our passing sequences?
Like, I’m stoked we won. But think we lacked variety in the way we progressed the ball. But maybe that is just how we dealt with the loss of Kraev, as neither sasse or ball are that creative spark. Not a slight on them, just acknowledging that their strengths are different.

absolutely, not every win is pretty and if a coach or manager isnt  finding things he wants to improve/change every game then he's not doing his job. Winning is key! but improving week on week is next. If you can get both, then you build a club that consistently wins things.

Managers across the world are judged on recent results , career stats mean very little - at any club outside of a-league Talay would've been gone. Prior to last two wins away it had been quite appalling. Couple of wins in a bang average open league - any managers dream. Do i think he will deliver my club a title? No. That what we want though right? a title? From previous conversations not sure on that.

Reminder that Uffie and his staff are the best performing managerial team in Phoenix history. Add last night’s game and it takes his record to 38W - 21D - 35L with a PPG average of 1.43.

Highest ever points average, only manager with more wins than losses in Phoenix history. His management frustrates me sometimes but there’s no doubt that Uffie is a great manager and by far the best we’ve ever had.

appalling is very subjective - Talay has some flaws otherwise he would be coaching in the premier league, same for the players we have, if they were top top players they wouldn't be here.  For me management is about is the person the right fit, and Talay seems to fit in nicely with the resources available for this club and I personally think he is out-performing the metrics.

It wasn't long ago under previous managers that we would play well for periods of games and then the next game not turn up at all and get thrashed.

Do I want to see more sure, but do I want to see less, definitely not and that's what I think is at risk if you sack Talay.

I think Ufuk can deliver us a title and think he would have in 19/20 without COVID.

The fact we're currently 4th just shows you how rash we would have been to fire him two games ago and if other clubs had done it they would have been rash too.

Under Showtimes  the Phoenix would be sacking coaches every season as they dont meet his requirements. Despite what he says even in Europe not all clubs are that ruthless there wouldnt be any bloody managers if you used his logic.

If Uffie extends I see us winning silverware within the next 3 years. We’ll lose players as we do every season but the academy is pumping out talent like never before.

Fudge'n hell mate it's just a forum, don't take it so personally. You're copping flak cuz you act a downer even in the face of good results. The way you rag on about Talay makes me think you'd want him sacked if we were 2nd just because we weren't 1st. We're doing well, we're 4th, the League might be close, but despite a poor result against the runaway team of the comp, we're in decent form. Chillax my bro.

You do realise the Premiers don't always win the GF right? Turns out some of these teams are so last they actually won the whole thing. 🤔

We played pretty had a lot of shots on goal and lost unlucky, we played effective and won with some luck in the last two.
We need to combine the pretty game with dirty winning mentality and we could go far. We have a good squad and enough depth to bring in players who adds depth,
4th spot sounds good but the ladder is still so close we need to win next games to stay or climb. I’m pretty positive for the rest of the season, this will be fun.

Uffie & crew are the best management team we've ever had, and make no mistake, we now have a real shot of winning this. Never had so much depth and  steel - just have to control the latter a bit more.

So I'm a troll because i can sometimes have a difference in an opinion, maybe an unpopular opinion or slightly controversial opinion. God forbid one creates conversation and engagement. Have we lost freedom of speech in this country.

But i must say its been great to see so many fans come out of the woodwork, we must've had a couple of wins or something. No doubt the part timers will be in the stands this weekend...until we suffer our next defeat.

No, you are a troll because you keep rabbiting on about the same thing in almost every of your numerous posts. Honestly, we get it but we don’t appreciate you filling the threads with a repetition of the same theme.  i can tell from your posts that you are an intelligent person with the ability to make posts and support your view with decent arguments but I’m certain most of us would welcome your input and analysis on other aspects of the club/players/competition/other threads on the forum.

Given many of the replies to your comments are from regular contributors to the forums your "out of the woodwork" comment is like much of your opinion way off the mark.

Who are playing next weekend?  Do we really need Kraev now? Do we really need Pennington now? Do we really need Wootton now? Could the overrated Lasogga make any difference to our amazing win over a pretty decent Brisbane Roar last Saturday? So many questions worth asking :-)

I was being serious in asking for an evaluation of Wootton, compared to our other options!
I mean I can feel that we’re more relaxed in possession when he’s on the field. But I wonder why that is- greater passing range? Good off both feet? Keeps the ball moving more?

Given his form the last 2 weeks there is no way Sail should ever have the captains armband again.

Wootton has experience and vision that younger guys like Finn Surman might benefit from, playing alongside him.   However, he does not seem to impose himself on the game the way that someone like Tim Payne can.
Wootton can be outplayed  - he is competent but not necessarily very skillful.  On the plus side, he is not prone to making questionable decisions which might cost the team (like getting upfield and not getting back in time).

Another double header I miss out on. It's hard to go sick at work when your boss attends Nix games. A "please explain" can be embarrassing. Still I've got the Ring of Dirt game coming up.

Surely your boss would know it's part of the healing process Andy!
