I see US border is closed until around June 23rd (to non-US citizens/residents), and the ESTA Visa scheme (an ESTA Visa is required to transit through the USA), is currently suspended until that time. 

So that seems very earliest Davila could return to Australia/NZ.

You would think it's more than likely he will join up with his Nix team mates in Australia, rather than fly into NZ, and do 2 weeks self isolation in a hotel room. That's given the idea that Nix will finish 2019/2020 season at a base in Oz.

Although it is a longer trip he could fly from Mexico with Latam via Santiago to Auckland, avoiding the US altogether.

Maybe he could but flight options within Latin America are also currently very limited. I’m in Peru, and Lima Airport is shutdown. 
Santiago Airport I understand is still operating, but think the Mexico border is currently closed.

Though yeah by July will definitely be a few more flights happening, and some borders opening up.

Its a shame air nz have completely cancelled their Argentina flight. His best bet would be to try and get to Australia and meet the team there. Hooper has further to go.
