$45.00 plus $2.85 booking fee, $2.95 service and handling fee and finally $1.05 payment processing fee and total $51.85.i am surprised there is no enjoy the football fee

Face value for a silver is $45 so you’ve certainly paid plenty in fees. They can’t shake you down again.

I went into the Ticketec outlet at Queens Wharf yesterday and bought my ticket.  Did not have a season ticket this year because of the number of games played on Saturday and cricket commitments.  Such is life.

Cost me $52 for a silver.

It also isn't the actual ticket although I dod have the seat number. I was told that the actual opponents are not yet decided, they can only make a "booking".  I have to take that back some time before the game from Monday on, and exchange for a proper ticket. I dare say that will cost me a transaction fee or something.

I can’t figure what two separate things have happened to charge a booking fee and a service and handling fee. The booking is the service. And I haven’t been handled, so…

Im certainly hoping for MacArthur and Melb City to win this weekend.

We smash the bulls and City beat CCM leaving us the grand final against City for the title.

Personally I want Victory to win tonight because then CCM gets Sydney who beat them twice this season. Basically Sydney is our best chance of not seeing CCM in the grand final and then us getting a home grand final

So it is MV.  Minus is that we never seem to do well there playing them. Plus is the opposite when it comes to games in Wellington against them. I would be very happy if we are all level after the first leg.

They will bring probably bring a decent number for the away section at the North end.  After the reported scuffles earlier in the year, that will need to be managed well.  Emotions are going to be running higher both ways at the end.

Looks like we play the second leg before CCM play Sydney in their second leg.  So, if we win, we will leave the Ring not knowing what the prize looks like.  A home or away final. Straight to the pubs to watch I reckon.

Back to MV, the loss of Zinedine Machach will hurt them for at least the first game.  Will be very interesting as to what his red card suspension will be.  Hopefully at least two games.

Last nights result was as good as we could have asked for, and certainly didn't look likely at the 30 minute mark. Izzo our hero.

CCM (congrats to them as well on their win last night) have lost to Sydney twice this year already, so that's a great tick in our box... whilst we have beat Victory twice this year, so were our favoured opposition as well. The fact Machach is out is huge for us as he is IMO their best player.

So much riding on the first leg for all teams involved!!

One of my favourite football moments was this at the West Brom vs Villa Championship playoff semi-final.

I assume it would need stadium approval but… I wonder what the turnaround on 1000 yellow and 1000 black flags is?

Any thoughts why the club have only done a single Facebook post about tickets going on sale?
Still haven’t mentioned who we are playing in the semi and when the first leg is?

All seems a bit quiet

We've only beaten Victory once (the recent rain soaked night at the stadium).  The other two games were a draw, one of the games we didn't even register a shot on target. Personally I am very scared about both these games.

I also think the form book goes out the window, Macarthur had a good record over Sydney this season, but got well beaten.  CCM are relentless, like the Terminator, they just keep coming.  They want to win everything and I have no faith that Sydney will get in their way.

Yipe it could easily have been 1 win & 2 losses against the VUC this season. No shots on goal in the first draw (oogie goal for the Nix) & a late added time penalty in the 2nd draw. With rain soaked win, the goal didn't come until the 95th min.

If Victory keep 11 players on the park unlike last night, it's going to be tight. Lets all hope the finals ain't decided by dodgy red cards or VAR.

The Nix have gone to AAMI Park sooo many times with the form book pre game in the Nix's favour, and came away with nothing. Nix's record there is horrid and the Victory will be using that as motivation. Coming away from Melbourne with a draw, the fresher of the 2 teams (this weekend off) to a packed ROF for leg 2 would be a good result.

Be really interesting how Chief sets up for game one. 3/5 at the back - as he started the last away game against CCM, and most away games this season - or a back 4? Wonder if Hughes is near a return. He's gone well in that back 3/5 this season.

And well done the Mariners.

It is the finals. all bets are off.  I am more worried about any trigger happy referee dishing out cards to our players than about our opposition.
CCM have travel, and a short turnaround, so Sydney might be perhaps considered favourites for the first leg?  Suddenly a lot depends on Lolley's hamstring.

Finals footy totally different to any league game! Even with a week off before the first game Victory players will be knackered after last nights effort. They played almost 90 minutes one man down. So their first couple fo days will be foccussed on recovery, while we will be travelling to Melbourne pretty quickly. A draw in the first leg will be fine, I'm confident we can beat them at home in front of a 20k+ crowd.

Lets be real a quick turn around hasn't hindered CCM in the slightest. every time they've made a short turnaround because of the AFC cup they've performed just fine.

with that said I will be whipping out all the prayers for Sydney to win both legs because at least we actually beat them this season

Not so. Some AV tweet from memory that they had twice dropped points when returning away AFC Cup ties (pool game & game in India), and then playing ALM games on a short turnaround.

Of course post their away semi in Kyrgyzstan they had the following Adelaide ALM game postponed. So we never found out if that would have been 3 ALM games, dropped points returning from away AFC Cup ties.

Barring any travel delays returning home, they will only get 2-3 days rest before facing Sydney on Friday night.

Barcellos (who provided the nice assist for Kuol's winner last night) came on at HT for Theoharous. No idea if Theoharous picked up an injury.

Amazing that they have done their whole AFC Cup campaign in cattle class.

https://www.watoday.com.au/sport/soccer/central-coast-mariners-on-track-for-unprecedented-treble-after-winning-afc-cup-20240506-p5fp3a.html

Players and staff have flown more than 100,000 kilometres to play games in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Kyrgyzstan and, finally, Oman – all in economy class – a feat that has added a huge physical and mental burden on top of their A-League title defence.

CCM only have there selves to blame this time with the Friday night game and the quick turn around from there travels. They had the option of where to play the semi's and they decided to play the first game away from home. If they had chosen to play the first game at home, they could have had better control of when it was played. Eg. Could have played Sunday at Gosford.
Can't expect APL to bail them out again this time.

They will land in Sydney from the Cup trip and likely will stay in Sydney for the game. Better control over the team (meals, physio, training) than if they all went home on arrival.
