Gosford Final

So let's say the Nix & Mariners get it done this Saturday. Not getting ahead of myself, obviously not a given we even make the final. But if we do and it isn't to be a Nix/Sydney final at Sky, I'd still love to be there. 

I'm not any sort of member/season ticket holder. How likely is it that I'll be able to get my hands on a ticket or 3? 

Apologies if this has already been discussed, had a glance and couldn't see a thread on this topic.

A work trip to Sydney means I either get to see the final in Gosford, or miss the first ever final in Wellington. Selfishly supporting Mariners this weekend!

Living in Sydney I never have trouble getting tix in the away bay for any of the NSW Nix games so didn't bother getting a membership this year. 

Considered it near the end of the regular season for the Grand Final presale possibilities but I figured a Wellington GF I'd have no trouble getting tickets and at the time I thought if CCM got hosting rights it would be moved to Sydney like before - which would mean a bigger stadium than Gosford and again I liked my chances of getting Away tix relatively easily. 

Unfortunately with the possibility of Gosford it has gotten me worried I might not manage to get a ticket...So I'm really still hoping for a Wellington GF. 

Also I don't wanna curse anything so this is an obligatory 'Nothing's decided yet' sentence that acknowledges that we may not even make the GF

I made a post in Dangerous Liaisons to discuss potential (no jinxing allowed) travel/ticketing if anyone is interred.

Looks like a Gosford final. Not sure who's playing it in though!

Will Air NZ be running special (reasonably priced ) flights should the final be at CCM ?they did them for Taylor Swift and we are much bigger than her !

The tickets I saw were with Qantas.

AirNZ were but they had some engine issues with their plane. 

Think Nix are trying to convince Qantas.

Sounds promising… how can we hear more ?

Wouldn't get my hopes up. Don't think airlines have many planes just lying around. 

A newish Australian domestic airline Bonza, have also gone into administration, with their fleet grounded. Other airlines busy covering their routes in the interim, though some hope Bonza may yet reoperate.

C'mon Air NZ, let us borrow an A320 from the Welly/Auckland route. A few canceled flights is worth it ...

Won't happen, but would be poetic if an airline owned by the same private equity firm that is an owner of the Victory was used to fly Phoenix fans to the grand final that the Phoenix beat them to

Ended up making the call before we lost the semi to switch the flights to get back Friday night. Wouldn't have been able to live with myself if we'd hosted the final (and no real interest in paying hundreds to watch CCM v Victory), plus I had a tattoo appointment on the Saturday in Wellington that I wouldn't have been able to reschedule for months. Right choice in the end!
