that may be the case but if his shot stopping drops he's no good to anyone as a ball playing keeper.

Good to see Gouldy wasn't out of work too long.
Best of luck to him at Stoke.
I guess that's part and parcel of the footballing world these days - Employees/coaches who have formed relationships and understandings with others at former clubs, and then taking that knowledge further afield.
If he can rediscover the form of last season then eventually he'll get offers from abroad, but after that performance against Peru he comes across as a bit stifled and apprehensive - Not terribly out of form, but almost seems like he's at a bit of a cross-roads with his career.
The All Whites are far too lowly ranked to get significant permit points, and him missing games for them wouldn't help either. The A League would also get him next to no permit points due to being similarly lowly ranked. I think he'd need 15 points to have his permit approved, and even if he plays every minute for the national team and wins the A League he'd fall short of that.
Suspect that this has been the case unofficially since Gould left. If that is the case, he has done his trial and the job is his by performance proof in the eyes of Talay and the rest of the staff. Good luck to him and the glovemen
New Nix head coach Giancarlo Italiano has found his right-hand man. Adam Griffiths has been appointed the men’s assistant coach for the next two A-League Men seasons.
Welcome to the Nix Adam! #COYN!
Poached him from WSW, so maybe we will be able to defend this season?
But, he seems like a great pickup - WSW were defensively one of the best teams and we were defensively one of the worst, interesting that we're poaching an assistant from a team that would have been very happy with the coaching setup.
Una notizia che sembra arrivare direttamente dall’universo di pendolino.

They've never been huge (they played in Serie B in the late 40s and then again for 3 seasons in the early 2000s), but they have been a mainstay in the 3rd tier and have had a lot of players who went on to do great things in the future, like Fiorentina's current captain Biraghi, Gianluca Grassadonia (who played in Serie A for many seasons), Pavoletti (one cap, one goal for Italy) and current Lecce live wire Strefezza.
Chif's Italian connections starting to pay off already...

It is very random, no clue if its actually real or someones fantasy. Guess we wait and see.

I feel like a bunch of NZ journos were briefed off the record that he was it for Auckland.
Be worth getting that story. Suggests there’s a lolly scramble rather than consistent decision making at the Auckland/Sydney New Bling.
I'm happy to believe Greeny applied for the top job, but yeah, someone was briefing them that he'd jumped ship to be second banana, which would have been very disappointing if true
This is another great/important signing. We've been big fans of Lee over the years and have tried to get him back a few times! V pleased with this! https://t.co/8hvSP7lI3p

Just got added by this fella on Twitter. Former Academy coach of New England Revolution and FC Cincinatti. As you can see, he's onboard with us, and is new to the club/country.
Super nice bloke too. Comes in to a new role within the club from what he's told me - Head of Coaching, and working with the U19's lads (I'm guessing he means the reserves?)
Welcome Joshua Neff. 🤝

A POWYS based goalkeeper is looking ahead to an exciting new chapter in his career.
Ed Harding, head of goalkeeping at JD Cymru Premier side Newtown, leaving the club to take up a new role with Wellington Phoenix FC who finished runners up in the Australian A league this season.
Phoenix based in New Zealand is one of the few clubs in the world to compete in a league of a different confederation (AFC) from that of the country where it is based (OFC).
The club plays matches at Sky Stadium, a 34,500-seat multi-purpose venue in Wellington.
Doesn't really give us much. But welcome aboard nonetheless. 🤝
You're welcome RR. 😎
