Who are they proposing the sanctions too? Does it just mean they get a chance to appeal of something?Michael2008-11-25 23:08:10

I love the irony here...

"The Match Review Panel also considered the reaction by Karl Dodd (Wellington Phoenix) to the offence committed by Joel Griffiths referenced above. The Match Review Panel accepted that, as the matter did not escape the attention of the referee, it had no jurisdiction to intervene."

Exactly the same reason that Griffiths got away with Nut Punching last season. Suck on that Newcastle!!!

Joel Griffiths (Newcastle Jets) was issued with an R2 red card for "violent conduct when not challenging for the ball". The Match Review Panel proposed a sanction of two (2) matches, which is the minimum sanction for this offence under the Hyundai A-League Disciplinary Regulations.

That is the mandatory one match for a red, plus one. Is that enough?

anytime he gets off the field is fine by me! he had a girly little kick at Dodd, nothin major. Dodd made it look worse by taking the tumble.

If Newcastle had any balls theyd suspend him for a few games but of corse they wont because he is their best player and they need him. Does anyone know Who Newcastke are playing this week?

Doesn't matter if he's suspended.  They'd lose regardless.

Then again he'd be more unhappy if suspended so that's good. loyalgunner2008-11-26 17:38:16
