I edited the database to give teams the real squads for teh 08 A-League.
Started as Phoenix.
Thrashed Melbourne 4-1 home, lost to Newcastle away 3-0, and beat Perth 2-0 at home.
Thats all I have played so far.
I got bored of my Villa team once we became best in Europe, signed Kaka free, he is legendary same with Rafael Sobis and Sergio Aguero, no one could stop us.
FM 2008 @ A-League
HN is there any chance of having decent stats for the A-League players. Most of them will have a fixed CA, and PA (or perhaps a -6/-7 type variable rating) but the actually stats (pace, crossing, tackling, technique etc) are often assigned randomly (they are given as 0 in the FM database). For example Lochhead may end up with a crossing stat of 6, which is clearly not a very good representation of reality.
Trouble is it's kinf of labor intensive when you have (for example) 1650 Oceania staff to cover.
However only around 180 odd of those are players in the A-League, wouldn't it be doable to get them some decent stats? I whipped through and got the Phoenix players stats done in an hour or so via the database editor. Probably wouldn't be more than a days work for somebody who knows the A-League players fairly well. If I knew the other teams players better I'd offer to do it meself!

I may or may not do the Phoenix... most of the problems with the phoenix was that the players were signed so late I got sent them out of of other nations and didn't have much time to groom them.

Managed Phoenix to 2 straight titles, signed Mrdja and Piorkowski(?), along with several Australians playing in Scotland/Championship, and got offered the Leicester position. At the moment, my 4 strikers (Cameron Jerome, Fryatt, Eastwood, Eden Hazard) are pissed I rejected bids of $6mil+ for them, and other players aren't taking kindly to me bollocking them at half time, so just as well I'm top man for the upcoming Blackburn job.

Just a quick question.. I know none of yous are probly playing this game anymore but I am.. so can you do what people do on FM 10 where they edit the A-League and stuff and give the A-League a 2nd division and do a promotion/relegation thing??? Or is that just for FM 10?
It is a feature of the editor that first appeared for FM10.
On FM08 you have to do it in another league that has the number of teams you want, e.g. you may put the A-League teams in the Singapore league but then its their rules andyou must play it in Singapore with A-League teams
Is it possible to have the interface of FM2010 on 08 so you can do things such as player roles? Or the otherway around and have the FM08 database on 2010?
