Stick on ferns again... would it kill them to embroider them ?

Hopefully Nike and NZF have ordered plenty.  Home demand, travelling demand and those out there who's country never made it who likes to support an underdog.  You'd think NZF could make a killing if they get 20k plus made.

Love it. The plainer the white the better. Love the clean look. As News says though, how hard is it to embroider.

Will have NEW ZEALAND on the back of the neck as well, the only thing really going for it is the front of the collar really.
 
I'll buy if I can get proper printing and a World Cup patch on the shoulder.

i think it is a bit boring - could have a bit of......something on it.
 
It also looks a bit slim, which could be a problem for us.......heavier boned sorts

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked

i reckon 3 pin stripes along the shoulder down the top of the sleeve wouldve been a good way to add some contrast, rather than those little bits on the lower sleeve. Theyre also on the Aussie shirt aswell so it kind of gives off the idea its just another generic shirt.

The shirt I bought from Platinum on Customhouse Quay is embroidered? But then again I've only ever seen one other person with one... so not sure what the story is with that.

Also I've seen heaps of shirts in stores that have botched ferns, smudged or blurred. Embroidery def is nicer.

The other Nike designs I've seen all have the national crest replaced by a generic shield in the leaks, so the fern we see might not be the final design. So there may be NEW ZEALAND under it when released

The clue is in the title, guys. All Whites?
 
So, the new design is exactly that, more or less, and we've got people wanting stripes and all sorts of sh*t added to it. IMO, it looks great and I'll definitely be getting one if that is what it's gonna look like.

I doubt this is the original design. Remember what the lovely lady at NZF emailed me:

Just went and asked to see a sample and I can report they are slightly more fitting.  Deeper v neck. Logo different font with a shadow type effect.  Air holes down the sides of the shirt and along the base of the back on the shorts.  Little more detail on the sleeves.


I dont see and shadowing on that picture? And the V neck is not that deep. she just emailed me back now:

This looks to be the current strip not the new strip

Clearly it isn't the old one though - so who knows

Just asked her how the design of the fern will change from the old one. She replied:
The design won�t change

The badge on those leaked photos won't be the same as those in the actual kits, that's why there isn't any writing underneath the fern, as for the v neck, it is obviously deeper than the current kit.

I WANT ONE!! It's a must have for the SA tour. Always thought all white strips were class. Must be why I emmigtared here in '82 (pre World Cup). Ok, so I was only 2 years old and had no choice but deep down I think it was my decision

Its no longer a problem.

The kit is actually quite nice imo.
Would look awesome with name and number and also the WC patches.
Here's a pic of one I obtained today.
 
 
And yes, it does have New Zealand printed on the back just below the neck.

one thing i am wondering is what numbers most of the players will be wearing, I'd hate to get the wrong number on someone, although you can get a few players already customized here

A little birdy told me thast there may well be the new All Whites shirts available at RYOS THIS WEEKEND. Not sure price at this stage.

All Whites away shirts in stock at Platinum stores nationwide - $150

stumbled across them in wellington today and they look even better than in the pics. despite the fern only being printed on, it looks really good with the gold outline. i was tempted to buy one but i really only want a white one (in stock April)

as much as I hate to say it, and not really against buying from local suppliers, you're getting ripped off for almost $50?
