Audio is terrible. Sounds like a connection is not in properly and it's coming out super scratchy. Hopefully it gets sorted.

Another day, another poor positional choice by Nando Pijnaker

We are dreadful today. How Pijnaker gets in over Tommy Smith or Even Tyler is astonishing.

Awful from the CBs, Pijnaker unfortunately mostly at fault there

So poor from Nando and Woud, both who should be nowhere near a starting xi

You cant even be angry at them, Pijnaker is an irish league player and woud has never been good. The manager needs to be sacked, what's our strategy to get to the world cup when we cant score goals.

Don't know if it's just me, but Tuiloma is not a RB. To me it just feels like he's been shoe-horned in there at club and now national team level.

Would have liked to have seen Dalton Wilkins given a shot on the right tbh.

I like Elijah Just but he is so timid and needs to put on some muscle to be effective. Cacace and Waine were scrawny but they put some weight on and are more effective nowadays. 

The difference here seems to be Australia have 11 good players where as we have 5 good, 4 solid enough, and two that are very questionable. 

Second-half could be tough.

Totally agree. Our top 11 players would tottally match them, and take the game to this aussie lineup. But we still dont have a lot of depth. We are getting there....

When was the last time nz scored off a set piece. We don't seem to have a plan.

Well, on the bright side we aren't 3 - 0 down which we could have been. 

Defense a bit shaky and attack well.... When was the last time we looked like scoring in open play against good opposition? 

Tough half. Don't think we've been horrible, but Aus definitely deserve the 1-0 lead. Fair reflection of the game. Didn't give away many chances but more as the half went on. Have we looked like scoring? Apart from a couple of half-chances, no. 

Looking forward to seeing some fresh faces come on, Joey Champness, Niko Kirwan, Max Mata, Ben Waine could yet change this game. We're not out of this yet, but if it keeps going like it is, Aus will score for 2-0 and that will be that.

Really thought that Crocombe would come on at halftime for Woud. Not for any reason, aside from to give Crocombe a game (which, I know, may sound like we're in a playground.....)

Biggest issue is that we really don't have a lot of other options, depth is a massive weakness for our top squad. As said above we have 4-5 players that are decent then a middle block of 4 who are ok, then the rest just making up the numbers. Compare that to Aussie who have 11+ quality players competing for spots. Population disparity of 5 million people to 25 million.

Max Crocombe is 30 years old.

Woud is having a good game - the one on one save was excellent. At least try to be impartial with your assessments.

Or at least judge him on this game not his last.

For a team that has been ass for a long time going forward, you'd think we'd have at least gotten better at free kicks, corners and crosses. Aus have done this as their attack also isn't the best. 

Some of the deliveries today have been awful - that shot from Tuiloma aside.

Woud also looked good when I saw him in the Asia Cup competition too but he definitely needs to move somewhere he gets more game time because he could still develop into our number 1.

We are so toothless upfront that it doesn't matter how well our defenders play, the other team are under no pressure so can just do whatever they want.

our crossing has been woeful tonight, defensively on crosses/corners we've been inept..
Can't blame the coach for lack of ability, only how he is getting the team to set up for the above.
