I know I was surprised Telf was so into it! people bang him out, but really he does have an interest in alot of minor sports, unlike Deaker

I very clearly remember one day Telfer stating on radio sport that he " didnt like football". A week later I was working at radio sport and questioned him about it which he denied. Emma Keeling bless her stood up for me and backed up what I had said. He didnt take that well..... He is a complete and utter t**ser, you should try and deal with him in person, a complete knob.

Was anyone else watching Crowd Goes Wild, Mulligan said on there that Ricky was going to play 3 up front. Think he said 3-4-3

3-4-3?  Does anyone play that formation?  I find it very hard to believe, but hypothetically, that would mean...

Paston
Sigmund-Nelsen-Vicelich
Bertos-Brown-Elliott-Lochhead
Smeltz-Killen-Fallon

I just can't see them lining up that way.

3-4-3.....not a chance!!!! if anything it'll be 5-3-2 for the first half at least.

Yeah I did a double take 2 pages ago as well.  It was a quote from somewhere with Lochy in midfield.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

If we have a defensive mindset the Bahrainis will be all over us. We need to find a balance.

Don't want to give up too many goals either.

Agreed. No-one would play that formation unless they were desperately chasing goals.

And that line-up would get slaughtered by an international side.

Agree. When is the team announced? Over night?

you could turn that into a 5 3 2 in effect - but you're really asking smeltz to play a completely different role (you should play mcglinchey if lining up like that).

Could have Elliot at DM so then you can have McGlinchey and Bertos. And I have no idea how to make that look normal.whitby fever2009-10-09 21:29:57

Or in other words, you're asking Leo to be Dani Alves for a day.

It would be better to play Elliott at RWB then Bertos.

If you start Killen, Smeltz, Fallon, Bertos and McGlinchey you really are throwing caution to the wind....

If Elliott is CM then McGlinchey LCM/LM and Brown will miss out.

But he's a central midfielder first and foremost, and is also OUR best central midfielder by a long margin.

And then you would play him in an unfamiliar position (which he has no physical attributes for anyway) because he played a completely different position for Fulham once upon a time? Really?
