We had an out of form Brown, out of form Killen, out of form Lochhead, average form Smeltz, Bertos and Elliott, no Nelsen, no Fallon and Sigmund was just above average IIRC. (Can't remember what Vicelichs form was like but I am guessing he hadn't had much game time in awhile like most of the team).

Now we have a massively inform Smeltz, inform Fallon and Killen, slightly inform Bertos, inform Brown, inform Paston, Nelsen, out of form Lochhead, Vicelich who hasn't played too much like last time and Sigmund who is playing his rock solid self. Elliott it seems has been playing quite abit (or more) then he has in the past and usually lifts his game for the AW.

In my opinion this is a completely different side from the Confeds one with all our players appearing to peak at the right time, we now have Nelsen back aswell. Also considering that the Bahrain league is quite abit lower then that of the A-League (They get no starting spots in the ACL compared to the A-Leagues 2) and all starting players will be at A-League level or higher (except for Vicelich who could play at that level) we have a very good chance of getting a good result here. The only factos working against us are the away conditions and that we are not as tight a team as Bahrain are.

Hoping for Bahrain to have  a 1-0 lead at half time then we score 2 second half goals then my bet of 15 bucks will pay out 250

Bahrain's Brazilian coach Gustavo Zloccowick reckons they can beat us at home and hold out for the draw in NZ. We'll soon f***en well see about that Guga. Bahrain might be a desert but you're not coaching beach soccer any more pal.
vascaino na area

Botafogo tambem ta na area!!

Botafogo ta na area de quase-rebaixamento so!

I would call that a bad bet. This is because I here that if Bahrain have a good start it is not going to go well for us. I would of gone 1-1 half time and 2-1 to either them or us.

Did you do the post just to ask that?  It'll give you the option 'delete' beside the 'edit' one, and if 'delete' isn't there then you can't delete it (as I understand).

Indeed, Black Plague said "Botafogo in the area!"
I replied "Yes, in the nearly-relegated area"

What humour...

Sort of how I feel too.
And watching the two qualifying legs, I think I have the right to say that our squad can out play theirs. It'll be tough, but I really think its gonna be a gwin to us. Really hope so.

Nerves are kicking in. Dont know how im gonna get to sleep tnight

It's complicated how it happened. But, no, I didn't post that message about just to ask "that". I cannae see any delete button so I guess I'll have to leave it there.

I put 3 bets on each at 5 bucks so even if we win i'll get my money back, its all about trying to get the biggest payout and if i lose at least i didn't spend 1000 like the other guy on here.

Says we have to go into the game positively (hence 3 strikers) - you can't sitback and hope to defend for 90 minutes hoping for a draw

someone should tell Herbert then................

i'm telling you know, if we are up by a goal or 2 and Herbert starts substituting strikers for defenders, so help me God.......

surely if we are up by a goal or 2 wouldnt you want to close the game down?

yes, close the game down but i can just see Herbert shout out a new formation - "10" and when we all fall back (like the nix did against NQF) we panic and it all turns to sh*t.

that's Herberts idea of "closing the game down" - everyone defend.

Moss shows that kind of arrogance typically so it would be more likely to be Moss then Paston. That keeper was celebrating way too much though I thought he may of scored the winning penalty in a shootout.
