A few players were hot and cold - Elliott, Reid and Bertos come to mind, but overall it was a great performance. Wood worked his arse off making the most of his opportunity. That'll teach Killen for getting married!

Would I be right in saying this is the AWs biggest scalp ever? I can't remember us knocking off such a highly rated nation before. This should (assuming NZ sports journalists are doing their job) hit the headlines back home in a hugely positive way, which will only draw more support to the campaign and NZ football, or 'soccer', in general. Agreed. You could tell Wood was a bit unfit but damn he played well - made lots of good runs and was a handful. Tracked back and made 2 crucial slide tackles as well.

Thought Reid did well to pressure Zigic out of the game for the most part, even though his inexperience showed at times.

Do not like Leo in his defensive minded position. He needs the ball at his feet, taking on players, and slotting those balls in the box for Fallon to nudge in. He is a quaily asset and we're not using him to his full potenial.

Christie slotted in quite nicely i thought. Apart from a few wonky passes, he made almost every tackle and played well.

Fallon is quality. A rock up front.
