So how many tickets sold already then?
All Whites, Ferns, and other international teams
Intercontinental Playoff ticketing
I wonder what the PAX is so far? Does it look to be a healthy number yet? And I wonder how that compares to previous playoff games at this stage?
I suspect this is a bit hard to answer so early on - but do people feel it's tracking to a sellout?
1.45 pm Gold and silver singles only - some groups up to 8 seats in platinum and White noise

I had PAX 11,000 ish at about 1230. Think a fair few have sold since then too.
I’d say it’s a decent chance of a sellout.
Allegedly
Seems like all the silver tickets are already sold out... It won't let me purchase even one.
What an absolutely bizarre allocation given to the peru fans:
The top half of the under the cover sections in 31/32 ???
They don't want the wind and the rain!

Express Football Special Calling At
Fratton Park - Champion Hill - Kiwitea St
And all away grounds inbetween.
So NZF's choice of ticket prices might have been "market-clearing" after all?
Gutted I can't be there but I'll find a decent bar in Fudgeland to yell at you guys on the TV.

2000 were sold in the first hour v Mexico. At a MUCH cheaper price.
So what is different this year round? Better chance vs Peru than Mexico? Heightened popularity with Winston and Woodsy? A coach who talks up his chances and team?

All of the above - though see Mexico and Peru as pretty similar in strength.
Also the score being not already 1-5 down would help. Or was the home Mexico game already sold out before, the 1st game at Azteca was played?
Lastly I remember the mood as suddenly getting pretty sombre in 2013, when Reid got injured a few weeks prior to playoff games.

More than that. 400 was our allocation. NZf have given us another 175. Rest of White Noise is down to single seats. So about 200 seats left of the 1800 in the zone.
Wait... Does that mean there are tickets still on sale?
Will be a sell-out for sure. Get in. Now.

Ha ha, if you make an argument that Anfony has boosted ticket income for NZF, we'll never get rid of him. :D

Were the tickets for this game sold before we even knew who we were playing?
I think it was a sell out before the first leg.
Plus Wood scoring for fun in EPL

Surely some have to reserved for the general. Aren't they usually required to have all price categories available to general sale?
Well I just checked the Ticketek stadium plan and quite a few aisles are now sold out completely.

But isn’t that meaning sold out of pre sale tickets? Surely like ajc28 said, they have to be able to offer each category to the public on Friday?
So who do they risk antagonising? Folk on the waitlist unable to buy? Or the general public unable to buy?

I rate Peru as considerably stronger than Mexico last time.
New FIFA rankings today have Peru as number 10 in the world.
Mexico were only 24th in October 2013.
Peru enter the play-off as fifth best side in CONMEBOL qualifying - that's much superior to Mexico who faced the All Whites as fourth placed in CONCACAF behind USA, Costa Rica and Honduras. There's no comparison really.
Peru are undefeated in their last eight matches and have lost only two of their last twenty matches.
They have a stable side and coaching set-up under Gareca (coach since February 2015) who has led them to the semis of Copa America 2015 and the quarter-finals of Copa America Centenario last year (lost only on pens to Colombia).
Mexico were a shambles when we played them, having not directly qualified from CONCACAF for the first time in their history and having lost some embarrassing qualifiers, including at home.
Mexico had gone through three coaches during qualifying and had just appointed a fourth, Herrera a month before thy played the All Whites. He dropped most of Mexico's foreign stars including even Chicharito and based the side around his domestic champion Club America side.
The Peru side in recent World Cup qualifiers featured 14 - 16 players in the squad who play overseas.
They have players who play for very good teams in decent leagues like Flamengo and Sao Paulo (Brazil), Feyenoord, Watford, Lokomtiv Moscow, Boavista and Vitoria Guimaraes (Portugal), five from the Mexican league.

For both the pricing and early demand I wonder how much the fact it's the first leg and there is everything still to play for comes into it. For Mexico being the 2nd leg it was always most likely to already be over.
Some douche already selling them on trademe for an inflated price.
