Why is looking at Rufer killing my credibility, he's done areasonable job in the NZFC has he not, without the resources old stu boy has which by all accounts should have seen him achieve aloth higher that what he has!
 
What makes stu such a good coach, the fact he always fails to live up to expectation but never gives up?

sure, but you need a certain level of technique to play that way.
 
jacobs is responsible for how his team tries to play and how it is organised, but he cant turn them into world class footballers during the course of a couple of months. you play the hand you're dealt.

I think we need to get another bloke up front, and even if it is just three passes up the field get the defenders to look to the midfield rather than blindly booting it.

U17s, U20s, Olywhites, 1st team - they all play the same way and style - its just the same old same old.....

Not sure what happened but the 17s had a different format leading before the world cup and then reverted to playing our best striker (Costa B) in midfield behind a lone Centre Forward - go figure that one...and people wonder why he did not perform.....but hey its all been said before.....

Until Ricki implements his UEFA licence coaching material then we may need put up with it a lil longer I suspect...having said all of that, I hope the boys play well at least and fight!!!!chareimos2008-08-14 00:49:06

yeah I'd be keen to se how costa goes!!! havent seen him at all!!

Sheesh another card, this time to belgium - could easily have been a red as you could say he took the NZ player out when he was in a clear goalscoring position... but nope just a yellow - can't even be consistent this ref.
