Ok so half time wrap.

Cameroon are poor - but so are we.

My biggest fear is this will make Milicih think he has found himself a winning strategy and use it agiainst Portugal who will tear us a new one if we play like this.

Well done Lucas and Bevin up front - their harrassing is creating a coupl chances, but we need to value possession more, we keep kicking it away every time.

I'm hopin Lindsey comes on and we start playing a little more possession and maybe Rojas is fit enough for a cameo. Hopefully Milnado as i have heard him referred to as can show something as well.

Really unhappy with our tactics - but am very pleased with the scoreline - but thats more to do with Cameroon lacking quality i fear.

There is no way that penalty should have been awarded, the touch on the ball was way too heavy, and the attacker left his foot trailing to milk the penalty.

Lucky goal for us, schoolboy mistake that shouldn't exist in this level of the game...

Hopefully Marco comes off the bench in the second half. If we can keep it level up until he comes on, we will have a real shot at wining this.

Very surprised at the lack of a decent first touch from Cameroon.

While your points about the penalty were correct, it's still a penalty. Completely agree on the second goal though.

Yeah if Wood, Lindsey & Rojas were playing I think we would be the better team.

I recon though if Ricki is chasing a U20 striker he should sign that Cameroonian on playing upfront who scored.

We are winning a lot of the one on one challenges. Our defenders seem to be much better tacklers than they are at trying to get through us.

We're doing OK but I do wish Woodsie and Marco were out there

absolutely, I think we would be playing much better with Woodsie's strenght and Marco's flair.

Why is Wood not in the squad? Did his club not release him??

Thanks, should've thought of that. My line speed is too slow for those new-fangled moving pictures.

Thanks to others for comments too.

beginning to get dominated - need to settle down. Marinovich to dominate the air more.

We are definitely getting dominated at the moment, not feeling comfortable about it.

That's poor - surely playing in a WC is reason enough to release the lad. Aren't the European Leagues still going through pre-season anyway???

Shame on them

Marinovic doesn't ooze confidence like Basalaj does.

Exactly. and if he wants to get first team football for West Brom he needs to be in pre-season to impress the coach

Whats even more frustrating is that Woddsie was in the U.S past few weeks with WBA who were playing friendlies against MLS sides...

This is not good, they're not marking anyone in the box and the midfield is piss-poor.

Commentator is a laugh on Fifa, plus he thinks Wood is still on the South Coast, not in the US with West Brom

I thought their swimming team started this match based on what I've seen all afternoon.

Take the point. Got away with it there in the 2nd half.

Three for me, and two for them.

Musa and el'capitaine played well, but our first touch was poor and so was our creativity.  Hopefully Marco is fit for the next game.

Congratulations on the point boys.

Please with the result but really disappointed with how we played - there was no intent to pass the ball, just knock it long, we never used our full backs despite them having a heap of room and our midfielders (whoever they were - i know the Cameroon Mids better after 90 mins) aimlessly punted it forward all game.

We made Wimbledon seem like Aresnal with our passing game tonight.

Cameroon were not that sharp - Portugal and Uruguay will be.

I only hope Rojas and Lindsey get selected for those games we need a bit more possession and ability on the ball.

Lucas played well as did the back four particularly Branch at CB who was very good.

even a diving header....

After that one game, did any player impress for Phoenix selection? I'd be happy with Nick Branch, wasn't overly amazed at Luke Rowe, but he made one awesome tackle in the first half that impressed me a lot. Ryan Cain looked good in my opinion and Sean Lovemore tried to spark a few runs on attack, shame about that miss. What is with our goal keepers standing out at every FIFA World Cup!?
