I've been in touch with ticketek and there is no limit to the amount of tickets you buy. And there is only a $12 booking fee for the total amount of tix.  All we need now is to know where the white noise zone is....

Game on!

The email the Phoenix sent out said there was a limit of 10.

"enter ************ as the promo code and you have the right to purchase up-to 10 tickets per transaction on-line."

Not sure on that as not a Phoenix member. This is where you ring the group booking line and you don't have a booking limit and you don't pay a ridiculous booking fee per ticket. There is a credit card rort however but everyone pays that.
I'm guessing White Noise won't be the $40 tix either right?

I was under the impression that if you bought your season ticket before 31 July you got early access to AWs tickets, but I bought a season ticket yesterday and I've received email confirmation of it but no email about the AWs. Should I phone ticketek and give them a bollocking or give it a few more days?

Anyone have tips on buying football World Cup tickets? Bit of a difficult process, not helped by the first phase starting before draw out. (Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, wasnt sure about starting a new one for it)

South Africa was difficult and i'm reading in the news Brazil is more difficult

Yep. Makes for some tough decisions. Plus have to hope that airfares etc dont skyrocket after getting the tickets (which they will). Also with the first phase being before the draw, you basically just have to take a stab at something and hope you like what you get. The alternative is waiting until the next phase and increasing your chances of missing out.

Thinking might take a stab at a venue, hope we get tickets and a big game/s end up there. If miss out, go for AWs tickets in 2nd phase if they qualify. If (god forbid) they don't, then it'll be a toss up between going for big countries games and possibly missing out altogether, or just going in for less popular venues.

I don't know of anyone who had issues getting tickets for the games they wanted in SA.

Yeah we got tickets to everygame we applied to during phase 2 (after the draw was made).

If NZ qualfy then NZF gets an allocated to our games, so unlikely that you will miss out on those.

Take a look at the match schedule. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches/matchschedule.html

Teams are ranked so any team with 1 (i.e. A1 or B1) should be a decent team.

The last phase there were issues. England vs USA in particular.

And assuming they do they same as they did in SA, A1 is automatically Brazil.

Fat chance of getting tickets to anything in rio though. Better off applying for somewhere that we are a chance at getting tickets and hoping to get a good game or 2 and perhaps a QF.

No doubt getting AWs tickets would be easy, but don't really want to apply for AW tickets in phase 1 only to miss out if they don't qualify. On the other hand, if we get tickets in phase one to another group...and the all whites do qualify...

Same boat here. Waited until the last day to get in. Keen to know if anyone else has received notification of pre sales

It is just a generic code to use on Ticketek's website. I'm guessing those that added themselves to the mailing list would have recieved the same code.

No notification but we have confirmed (through the stadium of all sources) that there is a two aisle White Noise zone.  It will be a couple of aisles further around from the Fever Zone.  The other side of the Players tunnel.

Nope. Signed up to the list but no code yet

So far I've received emails from NZF with one code, my club with the same code, and the Phoenix with another code. No email from Ticketek yet, despite signing up to their waitlist.

If you signed up late as a Phoenix member and haven't got the code I reckon it's just because you didn't get added to the mailing list fast enough. Just email them and ask for it.

It's hardly a big secret. I'd post it here myself but I don't want to suffer the torrent of abuse from those who still believe they are getting some kind of advantage out of it.

I know you probably won't know the answer to this question but anyway...

The online bookings usually don't allow you to select your own seat just the "best available" and it seems that the only option to buy tickets in the pre-sale from 12 August is online booking (unless you ring the group bookings line). Does that mean White Noise will be set up in their system as a specific zone to buy seats in but even then you won't be able to choose your own seats, just what is offered?

I can see a potential clusterfuck looming as people using online booking are being offered random locations around the stadium that they don't want and tying up the system trying to get where they do want.

Are yellow fever going to purchase a block of seats? Or just each to our own?

Every chance.

I am lead to believe the White Noise Zone will be clearly makred as standing and only adult tickets will be sold in there but as we've had no official contact with ticketek or anyone it's kind of hard to tell anything else.

I think the zone should be twice that size for this game. Pre sale for nix members could be centralised to the middle of the normal zone.

Fuck this stupid game

Silver would be the $40 ones? Sitting behind the goals isn't that bad tbh.

Email received from Nix this afternoon with a new code for priority booking. The start date appears to be the same as the NZF one though, so we're not really getting ahead of non season ticket holders

Why is one end behind the goal silver, and the other end gold?

Gold end is the scoring end, silly.

Yeah but why? Won't those that get 'gold' behind goal seats feel ripped off when they find out about those that got 'silver' behind goal seats and paid a lot less. The seating plan should be symmetrical shouldn't it?

Ummm!    yes that would be the logical conclusion.....but we are talking about Tikiteck and NZF
Maybe they hope the people sitting behind the goal in $60 gold seats won't notice that the identical seats down the other end are only $40

if it ends in a draw maybe they are taking penalties at the gold end and not the silver

Maybe he's recalling previous - his debut in All Whites 4-0 victory over Mexico @ Bill McKinley in 1980. Now wouldn't that be nice!!!!!
