I think the idea of pre-sales is just to increase the hype which seems to work. Even if there's no cap, at the end of the pre-sale period, ticketek can say 15000 sold already or whatever and anyone who's undecided about going will rush in when they go on sale to the general public. Of course anyone who wants one now can get one but I think it drives the marginals on.

Got a text from a mate who was buying his allowance of 10 tickets and that includes one for me. No idea where we are sitting but just glad to be going and to be a part of it. Should be a great night. Time to fish out that All Whites shirt and scarf.

Heard an interview on radio sport at about 5pm with the stand in chairman of NZF. May have been pre-recorded as he was saying 10,000 seats had been sold. Come to think of it he was talking to Darcy so might have been live. Anyway on the open to the public issue, he said the whole idea of the presales was to give football people the chance to get tickets first. he qualified that by saying that most people who really wanted a ticket could get one during this period because they will know some football person that can get them. Thought there were about 30,000 seats not counting the corporates etc. Think he said something like 9,000 seats will be on sale to the general public, might be wrong because I already had my tickets at 9am this morning so didn't give a rats about anyone else.

Hey - Aisle 28-29 Row CC - so pretty much on half way - at the top of the lower seat of seating.  I got them on the VISA pre-sale as the Phoenix code didn't work. I looked again this morning for interest and it works - weird !?

so would it be safe to say majority of the tickets sold were the cheaper option?  Glad it's selling well, as I did have my doubts.  Still I'll wait till it has been sold out.  I've got my 5, roll on November 20

Just replied in the overseas player thread to news Michael Fitzgeral is getting game time playing in J1 (top tier of Japanese football).

Considering all of our troubles at CM (hes played there the last two years) he should be given a crack in the next round of friendlies.

He had a shocking second game, but looked decent in the firt and tried to get the ball down on the ground. Given the changes to our team in recent years and the influx of more technical players he could prove to be a great asset in the middle.
