We just aren't good enough.

Then don't pick them. Pick players who are better and playing. Pick Bill Tuiloma, pick Michael Fitzgerald, pick Cameron Howieson. Play Chris James from the start. Pick Storm Roux. Have some guts as a coach.

This I totally agree with.

But that's different to getting the tactics wrong ya know.

As someone just said, you can't play those tactics with the players he picked.

Well, you certainly can't play possession-based football with those players, so I don't know what tactics people were expecting.

If you're going to pick the players Ricki picked, then the only option is to back the big red double decker in.

I'm completely in agreement with people who are saying we should have picked the next generation and gone for it.

If you're going to park it you need quick mobile defenders and midfield players who don't just stand admiring all the play going on around the box. Didn't see that in team selection today.

Will Roux want to play for us now? Considering fullback is a problem position for Australia and if he keeps up his current form, who knows, in the future he may get a Soccerroos gig if he doesn't play in the return leg for NZ.

That was your opportunity Herbert. You cant play that deep or that negative. And you can't rely on old hats (Christie)

'Bird in the hand' situation me thinks, but who knows, he may fancy his prospects with the Socceroos in the future.

Here's hoping Ricky just starts our young guns next week. Rojas, Wood, Barbarouses, James, McGlinchy, Fenton, We need to give these players maximum game time, it may be the only positive we can get out of this experience.

Who is this "we" that he's talking about? Most of the players did their best. They did what most of us expected them to. HE let everyone down by picking players who aren't up to that level of football. Some were once, but aren't now, some never were. Stop passing the buck, man. YOU did it, no-one else.

The Westpac game should be all about positively backing the All Whites - who are sure to feature some of the newer guys due to suspensions as much as anything. Lets back the team.

Less whinging about Herbert, Christie or whoever. Why so many people are baggin one player (Christie) is a mystery to me - as far as i could tell he did nothing wrong, and certainly nothing more wrong than anyone else in the team. Our lack of game time and matches together is our biggest problem - you can't blame the coach or players for that. NZ Football and FIFA perhaps. Missing the Confederation Cup has come back to haunt us there I reckon - maybe we can blame the coach or players a bit more for that.

Anyway - its all on for next Wednesday. Lets back the team as much as we can and see if they can turn things around. Even if they don't do enough to qualify (that would be the biggest miracle ever) - lets try and support a positive performance. I'm sick of the whinging.

Stop putting all the blame on the manager, players were rubbish. Some of the worse passing I have ever seen by us in that first half. And if we actually made tackles in defense mode it might of worked, it's how we approached every game in the world cup.

Hard to be positive when our football was so negative (at least until we had conceeded the third goal and Ricki had to actually inject some positive players into the game).

Sad to say but went exactly as I thought. Combination of being nowhere near good enough, poor selections and a shambles of a build up. Ricki's heart clearly isn't it any more and we need to focus on 2018, starting Wednesday. Based on what we saw of the Emblen coached Olympic squad, he is the best bet for next coach.

The sad thing is that with Reid injured, we will no doubt hear a whole lot of excuses. Simple story is we got what we deserved. Let's just hope the likes of Tuiloma, Howieson, Thomas, Rojas etc continue to progress and form the basis of an exciting future

Are you doing what you're doing today because you want to do it, or because it's what you were doing yesterday and it seemed to work?

Get up each morning, look at yourself in the mirror, and see yourself not as someone who is a shit footballer who can't get signed for any club in the world, but as the someone you will become.

My dad used to say, "Why the fuck is Ricki Still coach?". Turns out Dads know best.

If we'd actually marked it could've only 4-1 then I'd still have the slightest of hopes for a 3-0 win in Welly. At 5-1... hmmm, there's only a rumour of a whisper of hope. Jeremy Fucking Christie?
