Draper has potential, but is a little hot an cold.

He had a penalty saved late in a game last weekend, is that the potential of a WC striker?
Maybe the keeper that made the penalty save should be going to the WC!!

Are you serious? Everyone has penalties saved from time to time. The potential of a WC striker shouldn't have much to do with penalties being saved.

the squad that will be unveiled  today will be

3 keepers  + 1 as  cover

paston/moss/banna/(spoonley)

7 def
nelsen/vicellich/t smith/reid/ sigmund/ boyens/lochead

4 def mid
barron/elliot/brown /mulligan

4- attacking mid
mc  g/bertos/brockie/clapham

5- forwards

costa b/fallon/smeltz/wood/killen

stand by   7

spoonley
old
scott
coombes
oughton
hayne
bright

that makes  up to  30  players

the only player that i would add that is  not there is  CHRIS JAMES, but he is not playing at regular basis, and he is in the  last team  of the last  prof league in england ..sadly

regards

Totally agree with this list except for the reserve I would put jeremy christie and chris james instead of Scott and Hayne

It's hard to argue with any of the squads people are suggesting just because we lack so much depth that it's pretty obvious who will go, the only thing is if we take one more keeper/midfielder/defender instead of Costa, because with Brockie able to cover up front we have about 5 strikers already. It's ashame Aaron Scott hasnt been performing well enough to get game time because I feel we should take a wing back cover, maybe Hogg is the answer. But all the defenders except Lochhead are centre backs.

40 minutes to go. Getting quite excited actually.
So will Radio Sport just broadcast a press conference or something?

Can't have Christie and Mulligan.  It has to be one or the other.  Come on Ricki!

A very good squad, but I'm disappointed for Costa. All the same, good luck to the boys!

I agree. Also I wonder who will go there as "cover" apart from Spoonley
