Disagree Vader, Lovemore  has had his day. Still has a tendency for late challenges ONLY when the opposition player's unable to protect themselves. Thinks he's more important than the team he's playing for and doesn't generally get on with his teammates.

Of course that's just your opinion, so Vader's is equally relevant seeing his was an opinion as well.

Not sure why you feel the need to bag the guy so much though

I would have thought with the pace they play at and the style of game they play, then Sean Lovemore would be the perfect target for them. He seems to have matured and would be the fastest striker in the league and has consistency of scoring.

He was tried before didn't seam to fit City's style and didn't play a lot.  Suits a more direct game, keeping possession is not his strong suit.

I thought he has only played for Waitakere and HBU? If he has played for ACFC, it would be a while ago now.

Fair enough chopah. Re read my reply post to Vader and see it was a bit harsh and good on you for giving me a serve.

Lovemore has played at a decent level and for one reason or another didn't make the next step up, which in the right team and players around him, should have.

AND

I see it would be difficult for him to fit in with new team mates when he's been playing in opposition against in so many different ASB teams.

I wish him well.

I respect that fact that 3-4 years ago, he was just a punk kid. He seems to be maturing and developing. He has a tonne of pace which ACFC rely on up front from a few of their players they have had and has a very much improved 1st touch.

I can't remember when I saw him play (not live so must have been on telly) but have always liked that pace

He's 22 isn't he?  Still time to learn a bunch in the right environment.  How old was Roy when he signed for the Nix?  Point is not all players make it at 18 or even 20.  And if there's a faster player than Lovemore in NZ I want to see him.  The guy was was actually a sprint champ - he's not just a quick player he's a level up from that.

Was great to see Emiliano Tade at the Birkenhead v Central Chatham Cup Quarter Final, it seems like his stint in Argentina didn't work out.

Any reason? On-field? Off-field?

Tamati Williams was on trail with 2 clubs in the Netherlands first he went to Go Ahead Eagles who play in the first divsion of Holland, he was offered a contract but he laid the offer aside, saying that his future wasn't in Deventer.

After that he went to Volendam FC who offered him a trail, but he could not convince.

Guess I'll give it a try, don't hate me if I make any spelling errors :)

After the break Jong PEC Zwolle dominates the game, it doesn't take to long before they double their score. David Browne has an individual action through the opposite defence and he scores with a clinical finish 0 -2. (49th minute) He played 70 minutes.

Nice one. Expect more of the same. He was too good for us to keep.

'Barca Awaits City Boys

Auckland City's academy is sending its Under-15 squad from feeder club Central Utd to Barcelona for two weeks next month. They will join 10 training sessions with coaches from Barca, meet the first team squad and tour Nou Camp. They will also play matches against youth teams from other top Spanish clubs, including Espanyol.

"Playing against and training with that kind of quality will show us the kind of level we need to be at if we want to become professionals," said midfielder Alisdair Tremlett of Sacred College

Tour organiser Nardo Yugovich said Auckland City had forged strong ties with the famous Spanish club and that Barca club president Josep Bartomeu had gone out of his way to host the Kiwi youngsters.

The trip costs about $5200 per player and to help cover costs Auckland City is holding a fund-raising comedy and quiz night at the Dalmatian Club in Central Auckland next Saturday.

"My favourite player at Barca is Luis Suarez," says 14 year-old Alisdair Tremlett. "We all want a taste of his kind of success too."

David Browne scored the opening goal in the 6th minute in a 4 -2 loss against Jong FC Twente. He had another chance but his shot went just wide.

http://peczwolle.nl/nl/laatste-nieuws_1/beloften-f...

So is he a genuine Kiwi? According to transfermarkt not.. http://www.transfermarkt.nl/david-browne/profil/sp...

Born PNG to English father (Bob, cartoonist, born Erith, London) & PNG mother. Represented PNG at U-17 level. No NZ connection except residence here from mid teens.

And the fact he has now played for PNG has him tied to PNG or England and cannot represent NZ. Like Lia, had he not played age group football for his country, he could change but once he did play, it tied him to that country or any other as a birthright (in this case England)
