I've heard the Dragons v Weenix game in Wellington on 11th November has been rescheduled to a date in the new year. Anyone in a position to confirm this?

Sound like a statement on the game will be made early this week.

NZF have advised this game now postponed until weekend of 10/11 February time and venue to be confirmed.

Seriously, wtf is the coaching staff doing?? Question a number of the changes, Terris for one is well past his best and at fault for both goals

I don't claim to know much about the intricacies of outfield coaching, but the old hit it long and hope one of your strikers can get to the ball 1st usually doesn't work overly well. I can only guess that Chang started to be solely someone to press the opposition. Because he doesn't seem to add much else

ACFC without Blien,Dordevic,Morgan ,Bright and others also.

Going to be a long hard season judging on efforts so far!

Terris, Chang, Schwarz, even Hoyle. Looked totally out of depth today. Aaron Spain midfield full of energy but produce absolutely nothing. How he started there ahead of Cory Mitchell I’ll never know. Clapham not captain? Punishment

If its punishment, why did he start? Hardly set the world on fire again today, overrated...

I couldn’t agree more but your brave to be saying that about the boy wonder! Did anyone see Terris interview after game? He must be on some bloody good painkillers! as he is clearly high judging by the comments he coming out with

Boy wonder in his own mind, no doubt a good player but there's a reason there was never a professional contract and part of that for me is attitude. Yes, his comments were almost as amusing as Fred's ability at asking decent footballing questions

Most definitely his attitude I’d say. So would the board sack willy or just let this fiasco drag on

Why does Canterbury United run a Facebook page with almost 5 minute updates on the first 2 games and nothing for today's game.  Home or otherwise this is poor.

This personal reason thing is becoming a bit of a joke really.  Even quoted in today's write up.  Any truth to the actual reason that is being thrown around relating to the reason this particular person was dropped was that they wanted to enjoy a holiday and time off at a time when preseason training was on.

Worst social media game in the Handy, along with waitakere. No team sheets posted on any platform, no twitter feed reposting away match feeds. Yeah I know there was a home NWL match today but every other club seems to manage it -for youth, wonmens and men's teams.

If the consistency of their updates is how the organisation run the team it pretty well sums up why such poor performance in the past few years on the field.

Has there been a worse weekend for Canterbury United/Pride in recent memory? Even the Futsal team lost 3 of 4 games and are bottom of the table. The only plus for the Dragons is that The WeeNix and Hamilton teams genuinely seem worse than us, although the WeeNix may get 1st team players in at any stage.

Don't know if it is time for panic, but Pride and Futsal teams were champions, and seem to have gone backwards. Perennial strugglers Southern seem to have moved forwards. They may only have 2 points, but have got them against arguably the 3 hardest teams in the league, and their loss was in the 90th minute.

Clapham pulls out of Canterbury United for the rest of the season - big blow for the Dragons.

Sounds like football has slipped down his priority list, understandable with a young child.

Ha, my young child has made football more important to me, as I'd never get out of the house or talk to anyone outside of the Interwebz otherwise.

Where are you going to getting your goals from now canterbury?? Don’t blame him one bit! Report denies a rift but that would tell me there was one. Maybe the coach going would be better solution

There definitely was a rift, something before the season started between Clapham and Willy Gerdsen that led to Clapham losing the captaincy had escalated into a team issue

Did Clapham lose the captaincy or give it up willingly because of his other commitments?

Dunno, but there have been a few rumours. Surely Clapham would realise he couldn't manage before the start of the regular season? The Sky commentators mentioning that Canterbury had to sort out a few things at training last week? Either way, it's a bad situation, no Clapham and Morris is stuck back in America trying to get another visa. You don't want a repeat of what happened under Sean Devine.

Yeah definitely sounds like all is not well behind the scenes. Oh well, that clears a path for us to be the best South Island team!

Remember Aaron is not the only player from last season to pull the pin on playing this year.

Canterbury had to go looking for another goalkeeper [at a cost of $$ that I bet the incumbents in any position didn't get offered} after Willy had tried more than a few times to keep last season's two together.

With AC & TB gone, Terris the last of the players that got to the final with Keith and his band of MPL players.

No room for the likes of Chang [average at CCL level at best] in that squad.

Agree with you about Chang, I don't know where TB has gone but i did hear James Hinton of Western, who is a very good keeper turned it down.

Got to agree with this.  There must be more to this otherwise this is bad for AC as surely he knew the 'team' commitment at the beginning of the season to pull out at this stage is poor form really.
